Given our lack of a backup small forward for Tay, Joe needs to pull something out of his ass and not move our only center Nazr to get some rest for Tay.

New Orleans lost Mason, but re-signed Pargo, drafted Julian Wright, still have Bobby Jackson at the 2 sometimes, signed Mo-Pete, and of course Chris Paul is the other guard.

It seems like they have a glut of 2's and 3's and Rasual Butler is on the outs.

Rasual would fit in here as a 3 point specialist, and he's not a liability on defense by any means. He seems like a player who would fit nicely here.

How about:
Ronald Dupree
Flip Murray
Minnesota 08 2nd round pick

For Rasual Butler?

He only makes 3 million, he's cheap, opens a roster spot for Webber or another vet if need be. New Orleans gets cap relief, and a 2nd round pick for a bench player.

I don't know much about him but it makes sense.

If they have alot of 2's and 3's why would they take back 2 more to get rid of one. Dupree would probably get cut while Flip would play the 2, or even the 1 but NO has a shitload of combo guards.

Expiring contracts?

My only thinking is they do this to unload salar for Peja's ridiculous deal, they'll be extending Paul and West soon, and already have enough bigs like Hilton Armstrong, Tyson Chandler, and Cedric Simmons.

I'd do it. Flip might be worthless for them, but he is an expiring deal. Plus he's insurance for Bobby Jackson's injury prone ass.
