View Full Version : Trying to win a freaking game! (aka series against A's) Jethro34 07-30-2007, 10:49 PM Tata's pitch count is going to be 100 before the 5th inning. Jethro34 07-31-2007, 12:46 AM Amazingly Tata managed to go 7 innings. After the first 3 he must have found an out pitch or something. Not sure, didn't see the game. Anyhow, nice rebound win. Timone 07-31-2007, 07:25 AM THEY WON! Glenn 07-31-2007, 07:43 AM Tata for ROY!! "Amazing Tatas" would be a good nick name for him. MoTown 07-31-2007, 08:05 AM Not bad, but it would be great if I wasn't in bed by the time the game started. Stupid west coast. Timone 07-31-2007, 08:28 AM Same, I fell asleep during Tigers Live. WTFchris 07-31-2007, 11:27 AM Not bad, but it would be great if I wasn't in bed by the time the game started. Stupid west coast. I know. I watched the first 3 innings and went to bed. Tahoe 07-31-2007, 02:58 PM And I'm bitching about waiting till 7pm. I really like the games coming on at 4. It makes you quit work early. Glenn 08-01-2007, 01:40 PM Game is at 3:35 pm today, gents. Also here's this... Aug 1 Jason Beck, of Tigers.MLB.com, reports Detroit Tigers 2B Placido Polanco broke New York Mets 2B Luis Castillo's record of most consecutive chances with no errors at second base. Polanco tied and broke Castillo's mark on a double play in the first inning when he was credited with a putout and an assist on the play. Polanco is also closing in on Castillo's mark of consecutive errorless games. The record is 143 games, while Polanco has 133 so far. WTFchris 08-01-2007, 02:50 PM How close is Guillen to the SS record? sorry, that should have been in green text. Glenn 08-01-2007, 02:52 PM Lineup R. Raburn cf P. Polanco 2b G. Sheffield dh M. Ordonez rf I. Rodriguez c M. Hessman 1b C. Monroe lf O. Infante ss B. Inge 3b No Granderson, no Guillen. WTFchris 08-01-2007, 02:54 PM Lineup No Granderson, no Guillen, no Nefe. changed to reflect all of the key guys not in the lineup. Glenn 08-01-2007, 03:55 PM I think this 1-0 lead is pretty safe. DrRay11 08-01-2007, 03:57 PM No Granderson, no Guillen, no Neifi, no Miiiiighty Casey. Fixed once more. Timone 08-01-2007, 03:58 PM Do the Tigers play tomorrow or do they have a day off? I'd imagine the latter. Glenn 08-01-2007, 04:00 PM Today is getaway day, which is why it's a matinee. Back home on Friday vs. the ChiSox. Timone 08-01-2007, 04:02 PM Nice of Nate to still have the lead entering the 3rd. Wizzle 08-01-2007, 04:19 PM damn Maggs....there isn't much working right now Glenn 08-01-2007, 04:30 PM It's 30 degrees cooler in Oakland right now than it is in Detroit. xanadu 08-01-2007, 06:06 PM monroe striking out with the bases loaded is about as predictable as grilli giving up 2 runs in every game he pitches. Wilfredo Ledezma 08-01-2007, 08:03 PM Man alive, I'm about fed up watching the Tigers right now...before they could do nothing wrong, now they can't do anything right...their starters can't go past 5 innings, the freight train offense can't get any timely hits, and the worst bullpen keeps getting worse... To shed some light on the situation, we haven't had a day off since the All-Star Break and we finally get one tomorrow, maybe the day off can clear some of the guys heads and get focused for the last 2 months of the season... Our next 11 games are at home and Vs. teams below .500 (CWS-3, TB- 4, OAK- 4)...Lets try and go 8-3, 7-4 in that stretch. AND FOR GOD SAKES JIMMY, PLEASE DESIGNATE JASON F-ING GRILLI FOR ASSIGNMENT!!!!!!!!!! Timone 08-02-2007, 08:11 AM I'd prefer if he designated Jason Grilli for execution. Wizzle 08-02-2007, 08:31 AM http://www.cineol.net/images/noticias/Cameos/Waterboy_2.jpg oh no! we suck again! |
