Amazingly Tata managed to go 7 innings. After the first 3 he must have found an out pitch or something. Not sure, didn't see the game.

Anyhow, nice rebound win.

Aug 1 Jason Beck, of Tigers.MLB.com, reports Detroit Tigers 2B Placido Polanco broke New York Mets 2B Luis Castillo's record of most consecutive chances with no errors at second base. Polanco tied and broke Castillo's mark on a double play in the first inning when he was credited with a putout and an assist on the play. Polanco is also closing in on Castillo's mark of consecutive errorless games. The record is 143 games, while Polanco has 133 so far.

Man alive, I'm about fed up watching the Tigers right now...before they could do nothing wrong, now they can't do anything right...their starters can't go past 5 innings, the freight train offense can't get any timely hits, and the worst bullpen keeps getting worse...

To shed some light on the situation, we haven't had a day off since the All-Star Break and we finally get one tomorrow, maybe the day off can clear some of the guys heads and get focused for the last 2 months of the season...

Our next 11 games are at home and Vs. teams below .500 (CWS-3, TB- 4, OAK- 4)...Lets try and go 8-3, 7-4 in that stretch.

AND FOR GOD SAKES JIMMY, PLEASE DESIGNATE JASON F-ING GRILLI FOR ASSIGNMENT!!!!!!!!!!
