View Full Version : Tigers vs the Angels Weekend series Tahoe 07-27-2007, 10:12 PM Nate vs Weaver Tahoe 07-27-2007, 10:14 PM Bases loaded in the first. Interferance on the catcher on Mags so 1 run scores. Then Carlos singles for another. Pudge ripped one of the pitcher who fielded it with his ankle, then threw home for the force. Still 2-0 Tigs Tahoe 07-27-2007, 10:34 PM I think Nate has arm fatigue again. 3-2 Angels darkobetterthanmelo 07-27-2007, 11:07 PM Wow this is getting out of hand. Good news is for those of you playing the Rod Allen drinking game he has mentionted the term "professional hitter." Glenn 07-28-2007, 08:39 AM That was a fugly start to the road trip. Nate looks like he's lost it. I hope Miller hasn't too. Timone 07-28-2007, 09:29 AM Maybe next year guys. Glenn 07-28-2007, 01:48 PM RODNEY UPDATE: In the first appearance of his rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo, Fernando Rodney threw a scoreless, hitless inning Friday night against visiting Pawtucket. Rodney, who has been out with shoulder tendinitis, threw 16 pitches Friday night, nine for strikes. He walked one and struck out two, both looking. NOTEBOOK: The Tigers placed right-handed reliever Zach Miner on the bereavement list Friday and recalled right-handed reliever Jose Capellan from Triple-A Toledo to take his place on the 25-man roster. Under baseball rules, Miner can be on the bereavement list for a minimum of three days and a maximum of seven. The club said that Miner went on the bereavement list to deal with a family emergency. Capellan, acquired last month from Milwaukee, had done his best Tigers pitching just before he was sent down Tuesday to make room for one-game starter Virgil Vasquez. xanadu 07-28-2007, 11:26 PM It is too bad that only grilli gets an L for that game. byrdak and capellan deserve L's as well. what a collection of worthless crap Cross 07-29-2007, 08:00 AM What is up with the Tigers getting spanked again? Timone 07-29-2007, 08:43 PM Even if we lose I'll be fine as long as the Indians lose as well. Still...nice start to game 3 assholes. Timone 07-29-2007, 08:45 PM Wow, 2 runs on 2 shitty throws by Bonderman...6-0 as of now. Ugh. Finally...inning over. H1Man 07-29-2007, 09:07 PM Bonderman with another shitty throw. [smilie=banghead.gi: DrRay11 07-29-2007, 10:03 PM Wow, I haven't been able to watch tonight, but... From what it seems, everyone including the pitchers (sans Miller yesterday and Granderson over the course) seems to be going into mini-slumps and periods of incohesiveness in terms of rallies. We've not been able to put together any big innings, and both the starting and relief pitching has been pretty damn bad (Rogers, Robertson, Bonderman -- WTF?). On a side note, I went to the Indians game today with some friends and was overjoyed at the sight of so many dejected Indian fans in one place. Timone 07-30-2007, 06:27 AM The Tigers, in this 3 game sweep, have been outscored 34-13. But damn...the Angels are good. Glenn 07-30-2007, 06:33 AM Seems like old times. Tahoe 07-30-2007, 01:08 PM Damn, I was going to catch a least one game in Oakland. The way we are playing I'm not sure I want to. I might as well just whack my finger with my hammer in the garage and save myself some gas money. WTFchris 08-02-2007, 03:11 PM From Granderson's blog on ESPN: There is one player that will wish he was traded on our team after I finish with him (I say that jokingly). That player is Brandon Inge. The reason I say that is while we were in Anaheim, his hotel room was next to mine and he was able to get into my room while I went out to eat. He said my room was left unlocked, but I think he went to the front desk and grabbed a key, and broke in. Anyway, he ended up in my room with Raburn, and the two of them ended up flipping over all my furniture and turning on my shower (on hot). They turned on the light and left the door open so when I returned to my room I would think someone was in my room. When I returned hours later, the first thought was that the hotel had given my room to someone else by accident. Then after looking at the rest of the room, the first person I thought of was Inge. Now that we will be home for most of this upcoming month, he will be off the hook for revenge. Once we make it back on the road, though, I'll try my best to get him before the season is over. So if anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them. Fool 08-02-2007, 03:44 PM He should fuck his wife. |
