View Full Version : MoTown presents: "The Tool of the Day!"
MoTown 07-26-2007, 11:57 AM This should be a fun thread. The "Tool of the Day" can be posted by anyone. So have at it.
Today's tool:
I don't know the exact percentage of people in here who belong to Lifetime Fitness or have children, but if you are in either of those groups, chances are you've seen today's tool. He is exactly what's wrong with today's pop culture: cocky, feminine and a detriment to young kids looking for a role model. He's stared in movies such as High School Musical, Catch that Kid and Some Movie Where he Wants to Become a Jump-Roper and He's Good at it but his Dad Won't Let Him Do it Because He Has to Focus on Basketball or Something.
More recently, he also decided he's a Pop Music Star and has made plenty of music videos that are available to be watched at Lifetime Fitness where he pretends to be a boxer and an all-around badass in those videos. You can see these videos looped and played about once every three songs.
Today's Tool of the Day is:

Big Swami 07-26-2007, 12:43 PM Awesome, I'm gonna love this thread
Having a kid (and so knowing who that is) I think its a very good initial choice.
Timone 07-27-2007, 07:24 AM He wants to be a jump-roper? What a fag.
sarcasm, just in case someone assumes my dumb ass was being serious
MoTown 07-27-2007, 02:09 PM Today's "TotD" has received much criticism within the last couple of weeks. I know this is like taking a shot at Lindsey Lohan right now, but this TotD deserves it.

Who doesn't watch Sportscenter while getting ready for work or waking up? It is part of the daily routine. Now I know that baseball is really the only sport going on right now, and the Michael Vick and Barry Bonds coverage locks up some more minutes of the show, but do you really have to stop the highlights to tell me who is going to win "Most Popular" at American Athletics High School? Give me a break. Stu Scott gets to play the contrarian while the other three judges get to discuss which athlete dates the hotter women and who has the biggest nutsack.
The worst part is the fact that exactly 0.00023% of the population find this interesting, and they have yet to cancel it. I know cancelling this diarrhea laden traveshamockery would be quitting in the eyes of the ESPN producers, but at least finish the Tiger Woods/A-Rod suckfest online or in one day. Taking up a month of Sportscenter with that garbage makes me want to eat my own puke.
Congrats ESPN, you are today's Tool of the Day.
DrRay11 07-27-2007, 02:17 PM note: before making "critisizing" articles, learn how to spell "criticism." Thanks.
ps i agree who's now sucks
MoTown 07-27-2007, 03:46 PM Next on Tool of the Day: e-ray!
ps thanks
Timone 07-28-2007, 02:53 PM and p.s. fuck Stuart Scott.
Thumbs up MoTown. FUCK Who's Now.
b-diddy 07-30-2007, 01:58 AM and i was just about to start a thread asking if t-woods is nower than a-rod.
Zip Goshboots 08-07-2007, 02:58 PM Not "Tool" thread can be taken seriously without the patron saint of tools, Matthew McConaghey.
In fact, fuck "tool of the day", how about "Tool of the Millenium"!

Woody Austin. LOSING a golf tournament doesn't mean you talk shit. Shooting a 70 when Tiger shoots a 63 doesn't mean you shot better than him. "Beating" Tiger on Sunday is like Michigan State football bragging about outscoring Michigan for 52 minutes a couple years ago, yet losing.
Win, or shut the FUCK up!
MoTown 08-13-2007, 02:01 PM I like it.
DrRay11 08-14-2007, 10:08 AM Agreed. What was that toolbox thinking?
MoTown 08-15-2007, 11:58 AM Today's TotD: The Bronx is Burning
I have to admit, last night was the first night I watched more than 20 second of it. I tuned into ESPN to see highlights of the Tigers/Indians game, but Sportscenter wasn't on yet. Instead, I got my fill of the travesty known as The Bronx is Burning.
I'm not sure if every episode is like this, but I got to watch highlights of a game between the Royals and Yankees from 30 years ago, mixed in with actors on the bench either jumping, getting mad or looking concerned after every play. It was the WORST television I have seen in my entire life, and this coming from a guy who watched two episodes of Patrick Warburton playing The Tick ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_tick ). After the Yankees go on to win the game (I was surprised they triumphed in the face of adversity), the go to the locker room to celebrate with champaign and kiss each other in the locker room (I shit you not). The only thing that was missing was Queen singing "We are the Champions."
Not only does the show suck, but outside of Yankees fans that were alive in 1977, does anyone care? The Yankees are the most hated team in sports, and ESPN decides to make a series focusing on them? WHO FUCKING CARES? The next series that ESPN is creating is about how the Hong Kong population reacted to the Baltimore Ravens winning the Superbowl in 2000.
Give me Playmakers anyday. At least that idea was humorously bad.
Man was that bad.

Especially when the cartoon was so good.
Zip Goshboots 08-15-2007, 12:18 PM MoTown:
Unfortunately, ESPN has decided that the ONLY things that matter are New York whatever, Los Angeles whatever, and their own bad jokes and programming. Oh, and seeing LOTS and LOTS of commercials.
Zip Goshboots 09-26-2007, 01:29 PM Here's todays nominee. Hard to figure out why people like this aren't terminated at birth.

Timone 06-29-2008, 02:57 PM I liked this thread. Let's bring it back.
Today's Tool: Wilfredo Ledezma.
Why? Self-explanatory.

Dipshit of epic proportions.
Yes, I know that was an old post... I just hate the guy and had to tell y'all.
DrRay11 06-29-2008, 03:06 PM Epic douchebaggery.

MoTown 06-30-2008, 11:44 AM And if we want to bring this thread back, I'm more than happy to add one of the thousands of tools I have thought about over the course of the past couple months.
Here's a little more evidence to bring to you guys for my original "Tool of the Day."

Glenn 07-31-2008, 11:27 AM I nominate "Lee"

MoTown 07-31-2008, 12:07 PM Good work - Lee wins.

I have no problem with kids becoming singers and making money, but these guys are what's wrong with America. In fact, stopping the Jonas Brothers should be at the top of each Presidential Candidates list.
I try not to hate on kids, but don't you just want to throw your poop at them?
Big Swami 09-17-2008, 07:04 PM ^^ Goshbootsian.
Zekyl 09-20-2008, 11:56 AM They're not even all that above average in their look. They're average to below average, but they're featured all over Disney crap so they just shoot up the celeb list.
Timone 10-17-2008, 09:26 PM In my opinion it's still Matthew McConaugay until he changes his last name to something people can spell. Douche.
Timone 12-31-2008, 02:39 PM Ol' Matt's been the tool of the day for quite a while now.

No really. Have you ever used one of these things? They fuckin rock.
Zip Goshboots 12-31-2008, 08:14 PM UxKa:
Well, that is obviously the "maul" that goes with the "wedge" that our man bukdow has been raving about lately. I haven't had much opportunity to use one of those, as my toilet hasn't overflowed since I started taking my dumps at the Denny's down the street.
bukdow does have all the knowledge when it comes to mauling wedges.
Glenn 02-09-2009, 03:58 PM THE JONAS BROTHERS GOT ROBBED
Timone 02-09-2009, 04:07 PM John Mayer's got my vote.
Timone 02-11-2009, 10:30 PM Demetri Martin gets my vote for today. Asshat.
MoTown 02-11-2009, 10:36 PM I just watched a little of his show as I had South Park on in the background while I was working.
I found absolutely nothing about it funny. Nothing.
Timone 02-11-2009, 10:36 PM I'm watching right now.
Milli Vanilli jokes are NOT cool, man. Fuck this guy.
Timone 02-11-2009, 10:38 PM And all those fucking idiots laughing are pissing me off.
Audience members laughing = overrated.
MoTown 02-11-2009, 10:46 PM They're paid to laugh. Comedy Central really missed on this one...

They really ought to do their jobs better.
Timone 02-12-2009, 05:58 PM Frank Caliendo. Just saw some shit on SportsCenter where he was speaking as John Madden. Holy shit!!! Did you guys know Frank can do John Madden?!?!?
Go fuck yourself, Frank.

I thought it was pretty funny for what it was. The film sketch with him not being able to get angry on-camera was funny.
Could have done without the live stuff.

Hopefully the link works. This guy is an ass sponge of epic proportions, Not funny, and likes movie roles where you really hope he accidentally (or otherwise) really gets killed. Twice.

Glenn 05-18-2009, 08:27 PM Mo,
How about James Harrison?
Tahoe 05-18-2009, 08:29 PM He went up a notch, imo.

Glenn 05-18-2009, 08:35 PM He went up a notch, imo.
Idiocy brings him up a notch, I see.
Tahoe 05-18-2009, 08:37 PM He's consistent.
It's the second time he's pulled this right?
Glenn 05-18-2009, 08:41 PM He's consistent.
Consistently an idiot?
The best part is being offended because Obama "would have invited Arizona if they had won".
He is very deserving of the MPTTOTD Award, IMO.
Tahoe 05-18-2009, 08:52 PM I don't remember anyone calling him out when he missed the last visit.
He might not have been called out, but I'm pretty sure he skipped out a couple years ago for the same reason.
Tahoe 05-18-2009, 09:01 PM ^ Thank you
Glenn 05-18-2009, 09:07 PM Missing it isn't that big of a deal, IMO, it's that explanation that makes him MPTTOTD Award material.
MoTown 05-19-2009, 06:26 AM I don't know if he's a tool or just an idiot. I feel like giving the "TOTD" Award should go to someone who spends his time working hard to become the Tool he/she was destined to be. Harrison seems to be a mental midget. And picking on "Special People" is something that MoTown just doesn't do. Unless you have a lisp: that's funny as shit. Deaf people are pretty funny too...
Pharaoh 05-19-2009, 07:31 AM LMAO - Love the white text - thank God you have a sig otherwise I'd probably would have missed it.
Timone 06-24-2009, 12:40 AM I nominate David Arquette. He's on Kimmel right now and is just all over the place with his toolness.
MoTown 06-24-2009, 09:21 AM :motown soa:
