I’m hearing the Mavericks, for the right deal, would consider trading point guard Devin Harris, the former University of Wisconsin standout.http://www.journaltimes.com/nucleus/index.php?blogid=24

Dallas trades:
Devin Harris
Didier Ilunga-Mbenga

Detroit trades:
#15
Nazr Mohammed
Future 2nd

I'd do it in a heartbeat... I doubt the Mavs would.

I think we put too much value on Nazr.

I'm not putting much value on him, actually, the value is on #15.

I guess it all depends how much value Dallas sees in that pick.

Maybe not that much.

I think that's more of a "lets see what's on the board" trade. If there's someone that slips that we really want, then we keep the pick and take the guy. If there's something there that they really want, they agree to the trade. How much time is left on Harris's deal?

If Jarvis or Law is there, they'd consider the deal I think.

Harris for the #6(bucks) is also a rumor, that makes sense.

It only makes sense if the Bucks were signing someone with their FA money (like Lewis). Otherwise they lose their chance at a great SF (in the draft).

And do they need Devin Harris and Mo Williams?

And if they still plan to pursue Chauncey, it wouldn't make any sense at all.

They have what they think is a reasonable tandem at C. I don't think much of either Dumpier or Diop, really, but I doubt Nazr is that much of an improvement.

I assume if they got either they'd S&T Mo Williams to a team like the Lakers that need a PG badly.

I don't think Dallas wants to move Harris though. They need him to get past Parker.

YEah I don't know why Harris is on the block, Terry should be.

Would you trade Nazr and #15 for Jason Terry?

Fuck that and his fat contract.

It would make more sense for the Mavs....

are you smoking crack, or is that a joke? I wouldn't trade #27 for Terry.

I meant #27 when I posted that, and throw in Flip Murray if that's needed for the dollars to balance.

JET has a big contract, but he's been a consistently good player. A three-guard rotation with Rip, Chauncey, and JET would be sick.

Terry's contract is really intimidating, not just the total $ but the length.

That said, if they'd take Nazr, Flip & Dupree for him, I'd probably do it.

No picks, though.

The reason I throw in a pick is because we're not ponying up a big expiring contract and much contract relief. Keep in mind that Devin Harris is less proven but still will command a >MLE contract on potential. #15 for a one-year rental scares me.

Terry makes 9 mil plus for 4 more years.

In two years, we'll have 4 back court players (including Tay) making 10+ mil a year and our 2 PG's making over 25 mil combined. No thanks. If he only had a couple years I would do it.
