Bondy vs Loe for game 1

Tahoe
06-25-2007, 08:42 PM
bondy doesn't have his great stuff but only gave up 4 through 6. A couple of those are unearned.

Maroth gave up 1 through 5 and change and Macay McBride is warming up and expected to come in sometime tonight.

Glenn

Loe pitched a very solid game

Glenn

McBride is going down tomorrow, I would guess.

McBride is going down tomorrow, I would guess.

Not following you on that. He pitched good but Miner or someone else is ready?

Duh! Muchas gracias senior.

Hopefully Roberston can break the 3 game losing streak at home.

We always lose game 1 of a series when we're coming back from a long road trip. Tigers rape and pillage tonight.

Jethro34
06-26-2007, 06:03 PM
McBride may be not sent down quite yet. I heard on the radio that they put Rodney on the 15 day DL, I think they said shoulder tendinitis. That puts off sending someone down for a little while.

Timone

Waiting for the game...man I hate these pre game shows honestly...

Did I ever tell you guys about the time I scored 4 TDs in one game for the Polk High football team?

Tahoe
06-26-2007, 07:51 PM
Its sometimes interesting how a player can have a change of address and it changes their game. McBrinde could be interesting. I'm hoping anyway.

Tim...I'd like to hear all about it during tomorrow nights pregame show.

Timone
06-26-2007, 08:03 PM
Well to make a long story short I ended up in a shithole (Chicago) with a wife who won't cook, clean, or do anything and two loser kids...

Feels like the Tigs should be up a lot more than they are.

Tahoe
06-26-2007, 08:07 PM
funny...the wife left for LA for biz and took her son. So far I've missed paying a bill or 2, forgtot to take out the garbage, threw away a check, etc. cooking isn't everything. AND I forgot to put my beer in the fridge. She always loads my beer in the mornings before she goes to work. I really miss that.

Tahoe

2 drives to deep center in a row. I would imagine Robby's lower back is tightening up a lil. I would guess anytime coming back from the minors, you'd want to make a decent showing.

Glenn
06-26-2007, 08:15 PM
Those were HRs in a lot of parks.

FA pitchers should be flocking here.

Fuck! 3 run homer. 4-3 Texas compliments of Grilli and Byrdek. Should've went with the new guy for the lefty. Hindsight is always 20/20

Timone
06-26-2007, 09:04 PM
How many wins would we have this year if the bullpen was up to par with the bullpen last year?

DrRay11
06-26-2007, 09:05 PM
Grilli's got to go.

06-26-2007, 09:06 PM
Friggin Monroe just ain't thinkin these days.

Timone

One Tigers blunder turns into THIS. What would happen if Jason Grilli was president of the country?

Jethro34
06-26-2007, 09:24 PM
Anyone care to remind the boys that the Rangers suck? Seriously, how do you not sweep this garbage? And yet we're going to be down 2-0 with a possibility of losing the series?

Timone
06-26-2007, 09:38 PM
Wow, I actually think that could've been a strike out of Guillen. But whatever gets false hope going...

Timone

How sweet would it be to have some female posters on this board? Just a little off topic...

Boy hopefully we destroy the next two games, win or lose tonight.

female posters? so we can hear about how magglio is their tiger because of his hair? let them into the champagne room, thats it.

No, so we can flirt with them. Duh.

And who knows, maybe someone here would pull a Sean Salisbury.

06-26-2007, 10:18 PM

Timone
06-26-2007, 10:18 PM

Oh and game's over :(

Elektra would reply with a pick of the Shogun's dick and then they'd laugh about the size of yours while the suited up in the leather.

Rangers and Tigers washed out

June 27, 2007

DETROIT (AP) -- Heavy rain caused Wednesday's game between the Texas Rangers and the Detroit Tigers to be rained out.

The decision to call the game was made 1 hour, 26 minutes after the scheduled 1:05 p.m. start.

Detroit rescheduled the game as part of a day-night doubleheader on Sept. 11.

Kenny Rogers, Detroit's scheduled starter, was among seven 40-year-old starting pitchers slated to pitch for teams Wednesday.

Jethro34
06-27-2007, 04:23 PM
Maybe now the "tired" Tigers can get some rest and get their freaking act together.

Timone
06-27-2007, 04:26 PM
lol and Rod Allen said it would only delay them 10-15 minutes.

DrRay11
06-27-2007, 04:29 PM
Speaking of Rod Allen, does it not seem like every fucking time he says "this pitching staff won't be able to hold this lineup (as in the Tigers) to one or two runs," the pitching staff always seems to perform very well and the Tigers can't hit worth a dime?

Rod Allen, just shut the fuck up.

Todd Jones, you too. No room to talk.

Timone
06-27-2007, 05:19 PM
Take a shot every time Rod Allen says he talked to (player/Tigers staff) earlier today...

Tahoe

I thought they got a couple of innings in yesterday, No? I thought I saw a 0-0 in the second.

Tahoe

The game is on in a couple of minutes btw.

Tahoe
06-28-2007, 01:47 PM
Man its nice to have the Gambler back. He really carries himself like the veteran he is and that is important, imo. Hopefully he'll give the rest of the boys some confidence.

Timone
06-28-2007, 01:52 PM
Oh wow, tomorrow night...Santana vs. Verlander.

Tahoe
06-28-2007, 01:56 PM
Oh wow, tomorrow night...Santana vs. Verlander.

I'm glad its tomorrow night cuz I'll prolly miss Saturdays game due to Fox covering the game. Tomorrow nights game will be/should be fun to watch.

Timone
06-28-2007, 02:07 PM
And Kenny's little streak here continues...

Tahoe
06-28-2007, 02:21 PM
Wellllllllllllll... thats one way to score a run. Stole 3rd and score on a wp. Good job Shef.

Timone
06-28-2007, 02:21 PM
It's Texas' turn to fuck up.

DrRay11
06-28-2007, 02:38 PM
Werd. Maybe Kenny won't give up any runs for another 10 or so innings...

Jethro34
06-28-2007, 02:50 PM
Holy crap! A base hit with the bases loaded! It seems like it's been a month since that happened. Usually bases loaded means strikeout followed by double play! Hopefully the offensive woes that were contagious in Atlanta will end today.

Jethro34
06-28-2007, 02:52 PM
Nice Pudge. Way to strike out on 3 pitches right when I suggest the team might start scoring again.

b-diddy
06-28-2007, 02:54 PM
i hate it when fans jinx the team...

have i ever mentioned that pudge is not my tiger?

Timone
06-28-2007, 03:23 PM
Come on Shef, don't tell me you forgot to hit a HR again.

Timone
06-28-2007, 03:24 PM

06-28-2007, 03:59 PM
Wow...'Two out Todd' comes through for a change.

Tahoe
06-28-2007, 04:00 PM
Ya know, even though we won the last one, I still feel like we missed an opportunity vs the Rangers.

Jethro34
06-28-2007, 04:07 PM
Ya know, even though we won the last one, I still feel like we missed an opportunity vs the Rangers.

Exactly right. This should have been (weather permitting) a 4 game sweep. This is one of the worst teams in baseball and, oh yeah, Blalock and Texiera weren't even in the lineup. How we laid an offensive egg and watched the implosion just reminded me of the World Series. Especially considering how the tone of game 1 was set by missed opportunities in the 1st and 2nd innings and the 4 run inning was padded thanks to a throwing error by our pitcher. And then there's the bullpen. Meanwhile, Sean Casey reaches base 9 times in 12 plate appearances. You tell me it's not the World Series!

Even a blind closer finds a save once in a while.
