Weird time to lose your "top scout/draft coordinator" (a week before the draft). I think Perry is Drew Sharp's cousin, so I guess we won't be seeing any more insider info for Drew.

AUBURN HILLS -- With the NBA draft nine days away, the Pistons are losing their top scout and draft coordinator.
Scott Perry, the Pistons' director of player personnel since 2002, has accepted the job as assistant general manager with the SuperSonics.
Perry, 43, was given a multiyear deal. He replaces David Pendergraft, who was fired.
More than likely, George David, the Pistons' director of scouting, will take over Perry's duties in the interim. The Pistons might eventually hire another scout or personnel director.
"We will take some time and make that decision," said John Hammond, Pistons vice president of basketball.
The Pistons have the 15th, 27th and 57th selections in the June 28 draft, which will be in New York.
Perry had been with the Pistons since 2000, hired by Joe Dumars as a college scout. Before that, Perry, a graduate of Wayne State, was the coach at Eastern Kentucky for three seasons. He was an assistant spanning nine seasons with Michigan, California and Detroit Mercy.
One of Perry's perks for going to Seattle is having the No. 2 pick -- an almost no-brainer selection of Kevin Durant of Texas.
