Chris Paul's penetration should provide this new shooting guard with some open looks from mid range to three.

Hornets loved Thaddeus Young's workout and need a 3 once Desmond leaves.

I really hope he falls to 15 as I beleive he will be a good player in the future!

-1 for using pink.

Don't they have Peja to use at the SF slot?

I agree with Eray. They need a good SG to pair with Paul. Peja is a SF and they have to hope he can stay healthy.

SG looks like the obvious choice here IMO, would they take Stuckey?

New Orleans is looking in a lot of directions, including Nick Young, Rodney Stuckey, Thaddeus Young and Al Thornton. It’s believed that this spot is really Nick Young’s to lose. He’ll be in on the 25th.

Thornton gets more tempting as he drops, but as others have mentioned, they already have big money tied up in Peja, and Rasual Butler can play some SF too.

Of course, Thornton can play PF too.

Stuckey's more of a to-the-rack kind of player from what I've seen. Nick Young would work better off of Paul's drive and dish abilities. Therefore, I think they'd take Young.

Also, about Thornton: I just don't think teams are looking to use this high of a pick on a tweener style of player.

I was just thinking that if replacing Des Mason was the goal, that Stuckey seems like a similar player.

They were a mediocre team last year. Why try to replace that? There is a bit of need for a slasher if Peja returns to a solid form next year, as he would do well shooting off of penetration. I suppose if they were looking for a pure slasher, Stuckey would fit well, but Nick Young can shoot better IMO as well as slash (when he wants to).

With Peja injured for basically the whole season, Butler showed flashes but was never consistent. Butler is a bench player at best. I have no idea how athletic Nick Young is, but the Hornets really lack an athletic player from the start of next season.

Nick Young

for reasons already mentioned......a mid-range shot can be hard to find these days
