Hope the Tigers enjoy the Nationals while they can because once we get into July, things are going to get a whole lot tougher.

Our 27 July opponents have a combined .533 winning percentage, including 20 games against the Twins, Indians, Red Sox, A's and Angels, all playoff contenders.

Our only breaks are 3 games with the Royals and a 4 game set at Chicago, who we all know will play us tough at home. Take those games out of the equation and the opponents win percentage rises to .573.

The Indians meanwhile get 16 games with the Devil Rays, Royals, Rangers, Blue Jays and White Sox, all under .500.

If we can come out of July with 14 wins and/or within 3 games of first, we should consider it a success.
