View Full Version : Anyone go to Cleveland for a game...
theMUHMEshow 05-30-2007, 02:56 PM ...and get the feeling that the Cavs fans and the City is 10x better than what we have here?
The Q is way louder than the Palace and its not close. The city is behind the Cavs way more than we are behind the Pistons. Fuck, here we care more about the Tigers (RIGHT NOW IN MAY) than the damn Pistons in the ECF.
I am really bumming after spending some time in Cleveland and seeing a city just totally jacked up for a game...and we just down have it here. Beat Detroit shit was everywhere...RISE UP was on every damn store front and window...EVERYONE IN THE CITY all over the place wearing something Cavs...
I hope the Palace gets going tomorrow...because the Q was off the hook yesterday.
Why don't you fucking marry it?
Also, put the Cavs in the ECF 5 years running and see how loud the Q is.
theMUHMEshow 05-30-2007, 03:01 PM ^Mcleod fan.
ugh...no.
So its ok to slack as a fanbase once you start winning?
Timone 05-30-2007, 03:13 PM I liked Fred when he did games here. He got me fucking PUMPED when the game was on the line.
Anyway The Q is just louder to make up for the fact it's uglier (with a stupid fucking name). The Palace is by far the coolest name for any arena in sports.
ugh...no.

Probably just a natural thing. I think the Palace is plenty loud, but just not "scream until your eardrums rupture because we've never been here before" kinda loud.

No, it's just that if you are anything but a homer, and a lapdog, you'll get fleeced.
Hermy 05-30-2007, 03:21 PM The D embarrasses me. I've seen all but 10 games the past 6 years and that includes any televised preseason or summer league games and I scream all game long when I attend. Feel like I'm the only one there who really gives a shit or wants to do anything but bitch if we only win a series 4-1.
All that talk some of chumps have about how we've become the 04 lakers is BS. The only way we're like that team is our fans.
Timone 05-30-2007, 03:23 PM Yeah, the '04 Lakers would've rolled over this Cleveland team.
Hermy 05-30-2007, 03:24 PM Exactly, we're NO WHERE near as talented, but that's the expectation.
Timone 05-30-2007, 03:26 PM Closed casket funeral too I would say.

I agree with TK, here.
There's nothing like the first time.

Is there another definition of "spoiled"?
Glenn 05-30-2007, 03:30 PM I think it's completely fair to say that today's Pistons fans are spoiled.
I don't know how you could argue otherwise.
Expectations (fairly or not) have been raised.
edit: where is the captain obvious pic?
Timone 05-30-2007, 03:33 PM So is Bill Laimbeer done calling Pistons games?
Of course we're spoiled. It's human nature.
I remember going to playoff games during the '04 run and I was shocked how loud it was. I remember entering the Palace and even before nearing the concession stands, I could hear the crowd roaring like we just won...and that was before the game started.
Anyways, screw Cleveland.
theMUHMEshow 05-30-2007, 03:47 PM I hate Cleveland...their homo fans screaming Detroit SUUUCKKS BALLSSS all night.
Glenn 05-30-2007, 04:52 PM Muhme,
Were you there with Geraldo?
Timone 05-30-2007, 04:53 PM Well they're right. :P
