I've got a bunch of video I'd like to put online, or at least on a CD to save - how would I go about doing that?

Last I looked into it, people had tried unsuccessfully to hack the comcast boxes so they could just transfer the files over to their computers. THe only way I saw to do it was to get a TV Tuner card and capture each show/movie in real time as you replay them on your box. Not very practical but that's all I saw.
