Since Bertuzzi is an unrestricted free agent, do we want to re-sign him?

Jethro34 05-27-2007, 11:21 PM Only if the Price is Right. Moment of silence for the retired Bob Barker. And yes, that's hockey related due to his cameo in Happy Gilmore, a golf movie about a hockey player. Zekyl 05-28-2007, 12:14 PM Depends if he'll actually come back healthy and like his old self. If he's going to play like he did this season, then no. WTFchris 05-29-2007, 11:57 AM Only if cheap. I'd probably let Bert and Lang walk. Make sure you get Schneider and Kronwell back first. Try to get Hasek back for cheap again. Then go find a FA forward that can make a difference. You can fill one of those forward spots with Hudler/Kopecky anyway. Zekyl 05-29-2007, 02:31 PM Kopecky was looking pretty good at the end, and Hudler, though inconsistent, seemed like he did pretty well when he got regular time. That's big for us in the new salary cap era. WTFchris 05-29-2007, 03:06 PM I'd let Calder go too BTW. Zekyl 05-29-2007, 09:27 PM Unless we can bring him back REALLY cheap. He started strong for us, then just played like crap. detroitsportscity 05-29-2007, 11:10 PM I'm not bringing Schneider back, try to bring in somebody younger, maybe Rafalski? |
