and the black cashier asked me if I went to the hoedown. Is that racism? Mind you I'm wearing a lacoste shirt and camouflage shorts. Its not like I walked in with boots and a hat.

Did she go "white people are inferior, you can't shop in my store"? If not, then no, this is not racism.

Is it an example of racial prejudice? It will be impossible to say unless you can provide answers to these questions:

1. Do you look like a cracker? Be honest.

2. Can we see a picture of you?

3. Did you go to the Hoedown? Again, be honest.

may be the cashier was engaging you in a conversation? (not trying to be a smartass) and how different would it have been, if a white cashier asked you that question?

If it was a white cashier, it definitely would have fallen under the category of "making a pass", and Myers would have gotten laid.

I'm guessing he's talking the preppy camo not the army surplus style. Especially with a collared shirt.

Well the funny thing is that their were black people in front of me in line and she never asked them anything about the hoe down. I asked her if she went, she's like no. I didn't feel offended but I thought it was interesting she would ask me that out of the blue.
