Glenn 05-03-2007, 04:36 PM suicide? b-diddy 05-03-2007, 04:40 PM i'll start. a S&T with the lakers is very interesting to me. they have 3 pieces i'd be interested in: the pick (18), odem, bynum. i know the $$ wouldnt work with just bynum and the pick, so a 3rd team would have to be involved. i would take any two of the 3. im also assuming webber would go to the lakers via FA. we would then have enough to trade up and grab conley, and we would become: bynum (or odem) sheed prince rip conley that team isnt winning it next year, but we could have a pacer-esque transition (think 90's-early 2000's) transition from contender to contender, with only a slight droppoff in between. i've said this many times, i think conley has chris paul game. hes coming in running. and even though bynum has been pretty crappy for 2+ mnths now, i still think he is a legit future allstar at center. if we could somehow get those 2 from the lakers, i'd be all smiles. b-diddy 05-03-2007, 04:41 PM oh yea, i'd also like to see about mo williams taking our mle, pretty much reguardless of what happens. if we think we could get him, we could concentrate on bigs in the draft. b-diddy 05-03-2007, 04:44 PM also oh yea, bynum was untouchable at the deadline, but that was when he was playing out of his mind and hte lakers thought he'd be helping them THIS year. also, the trade was for j-kidd, of whom i think has less trade value than chauncy. Glenn 05-03-2007, 04:47 PM Bynum is "Garnett bait" for the Lakers (or Jerm O'Neal as a backup plan) IMO. I don't get why the Lakers think he (Bynum) is so coveted, he just looks like another big stiff to me, I'm thinking a Mark Blountesque career is in store for him. Zip Goshboots 05-03-2007, 05:12 PM For those of you salivating at the thought of Lamar Odom playing for Detroit: Are you SERIOUS?! You must be a closet Bulls or Cavaliers fan. Jesus H Christ, first it's Sebastian Telfair, and now it's THIS classic "Never was, and never will be"? Why not move up in the draft to get Brett Petway? detroitsportscity 05-03-2007, 06:10 PM How about we trade Chauncy(S+T) for a big man and change. Draft Acie Law. Big Swami 05-04-2007, 11:21 AM Losing Chauncey would hurt like hell. BubblesTheLion 05-05-2007, 03:41 PM Pistons aren't going to need a scoring PG for the future. Just a passer/defender type. With the young bigs we got, it's all we'll need in the future. Fool 05-05-2007, 04:00 PM If Chauncey is out of our price range, plan b is to pay a premium to dump salary to make Chauncey's contract palatable. DrRay11 05-08-2007, 10:05 AM S&T Chauncey to Denver for Nene, JR Smith, 1st round pick? That way, we wouldn't have to resign Webber, and I like Nene's game. JR Smith is a nice young player as well, even though he does play SG (Delfino). There may be someone else besides Smith that fits better in this deal, I've not really looked. Just throwing some ideas around. WTFchris 05-08-2007, 10:05 AM cry Cross 05-09-2007, 08:08 PM S&T Chauncey to Denver for Nene, JR Smith, 1st round pick? I wish we could add in Steve Blake but hes a FA so he can't be packaged with any other player |
