Just curious as to who everybody else wants the Lions to draft.

Here is what I would like to see:

S LaRon Landry
OT Joe Staley
QB Trent Edwards
OG Justin Blaylock
DE Tim Crowder
CB Daymeion Hughes
CB David Irons
LB Quincy Black
K Mason Crosby

Wow. I think mine would be:
Patrick Willis
Anthony Spencer
Justin Blaylock
John Beck
Marcus McCauley

It would be a combination of trades that make this the first day draft. We get 4 starters (MLB, DE, OT and CB) and Beck who is groomed to replace Kitna.
The 2nd day would provide a 4th WR, OL, TE and S depth, plus some guys that get cut in camp. A total of 9 picks make the team, with 6 seeing playing time in the regular season. That would be my ideal draft. When I wake up Monday morning, the real results will be far, far from that.

I posted mine a while ago. Mine was the Atlanta deal getting us 2 extra 2nd rounders.

Just judging by who would have been there at #8, #34, #39, #44 and #66, I would have taken:

Willis (MLB), Sears (RT), Blaylock (OG), Stanton (QB), McCauley (CB)

Why did everyone want a new kicker so much? Hanson is great and I don't see him being done anytime soon.

Mason Crosby can kick them from as far away as 70 yards.
Think about it Zekyll, the Lions can down the ball in the end zone, take it at the 20, and in the Dome, Crosby (no relation to Bing) can kick a field goal from there.
With as many kickoffs as the Lions field, that could amount to 12-15 points per game.
