Booty, Sanchez, Corp, and Mustain - that is your QB lineup. Damn. That is 2 top QB's of their classes, and 2 more top 100 from their class kids.

Part of me is excited about this. Take one of the best QB's and get him away from every other team. Now, it takes up a scholarship for USC at a position where they have zero need. This doesn't make their 1st team or 2nd team offense any better, IMO, but it keeps them from getting the next guy. Eventually they run out of scholarships and a kid starts looking around, hopefully at Michigan, who is all too often the #2 choice after USC.

He isn't going to transfer again. He's going to take his place in line after Sanchez(if Corp doesn't pass him up), and be a top 10 pick and heisman winner, cause that's what USC QB's do.

I'm not going to bank on Mustain doing much. A head case. He's just trying to ride the Trojan wave, and if Carroll sees a QB he likes next year, he'll go get him, and The Stain will keep on holding clipboards.

Are you mistakenly thinking I somehow suggested he would transfer again? I did nothing of the sort. I don't want him to transfer again. I want him to burn 2 more years of eligibility and take up a scholarship spot leaving SOMEONE ELSE on the outside and more likely to go elsewhere, which I hope pays off for Michigan. Michigan has their next QB and, barring injury, is committed to him for the next three years or so. Sure, Mustain would be an amazing backup or possible starter in a great competition, but 100% unlikely. Chances are they look for a local kid to be their next starting QB unless they can somehow convince Terrelle Pryor to come to AA and play a couple sports (also not going to happen). Basically, Michigan's next starter will come from the class of 09.

Not that I know of. They probably will get one this year, likely a local kid - 3 star or so - but then turn it up the following year with plans to never play the local kid unless he absolutely blows up. Basically insurance, like David Cone, in case of injury.

Glad you're optimistic. I've gotta give you credit, you'll find the sun somehow no matter how many clouds are out. I look at his situation and say, sweet...USC got another Top 10 player in the nation. How can my Spartans ever even dream of competing on the same field with teams like this? It's like college teams trying to take on the Colts. Won't quite work out no matter the coaches.
