Gunshots fired at home of Pistons' Murray (http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070418/UPDATE/704180471/1127/SPORTS0102)

Detroit Pistons guard Flip Murray escaped injury early Monday when two masked men approached his Troy home and fired three gunshots into the front door.
According to a report Murray filed with Troy police, he was returning from a Detroit club shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday, with a woman following him in her own car. Murray entered his home and went to use the rest room, leaving the front door unlocked behind him for the woman to enter.
Murray heard the woman scream, Troy police Lt. Gerry Scherlinck said, and rushed to the front door, where he saw two men with ski masks pulled down over their faces. Murray was able to see only part of one man's face, and described him to police as a light-skinned African-American.
The woman ran into the house and hid, the police report says, and Murray slammed the door on the gunmen. Three shots then were fired, two striking the door and one passing through a window next to it.
No one was injured, Scherlinck said.
Murray told police he noticed a tan or light-colored sedan traveling slowly on Rochester Road, then parking in the lot of a business near the entrance to his subdivision. Tracking dogs led police from Murray's front yard to that location.
The incident is still under investigation, Scherlinck said.
A Pistons representative said the team was aware of the incident but would have no further comment.
