So with half the celtics team injured(no joke), everyone's getting a little playing time.

One player in particular is Gerald Green.

Now we all know that he is incredibly athletic and won the slam dunk contest recently.

Well he scored a career high 33 today on pretty damn good shooting 12-22 and 4-5 from the beyond the arc. However there are quite a few nights where he can go 1-8 with 4 turnovers.

Sure he's on a bad team and may be looked as the #1 scoring option right now. There starting line up might look something like

rondo
allan ray
Green
gomes
perkins

Does he score off dunks or can he actually play?

Mr 4-fingers has perhaps the worst mid-range game of any 2-guard in the NBA. The kid can shoot 3s and dunk, but that's it. He also can't deal with contact. A stiff breeze can alter his dunk attempt into a low percentage shot.

He'll be a good player, but he has too many holes in his game right now to be considered a force.

I haven't seen him play recently, but it comes down to the fact that someone is going to get some points in that lineup. Bad teams have made slightly-above-average guys look great many a time (see Walker, Antoine, or Abdur-Rahim, Shareef). Not that that's the case here, but I would almost guarantee the numbers are inflated. Last I saw, he was still a year or two off skill set-wise, and had more than that to go as far as understanding the game.

He'll be good if he ever gets some consistency. He has bursts of solid play and bursts of horrid play. If he ever puts that all together, he'll be fairly good.
