This sucks.

Pounding headache, sore throat, constant cough, plugged up head, achy all over.

I'm going double dose of Nyquil tonight, but first, 1200mg of ibuprofen.

Just thought I'd whine a bit here.

At least I ain't no pussy sinusitus hospital boy like Ben Wallace.

Vinny

There was something seriously nasty going around this year. I was down twice, each time for like a week. Nasty fever, headaches, sinuses, cough -- the works.

Feel better, Glenn. Throwing up is the best cure for nausea.

This should do the trick.

Ah, the wedding night.
The last time a guy will ever pick his wife up without wanting to toss her off a twenty five story buliding.
Of course, now that she's snagged him, and she starts eating again because she won't have to fit into that dress anymore, it may be the last time a guy can lift his wife at all.

I haven't had so much as a runny nose in three years. Get off the X Box and get some exercise!

Is it bad that the only time that I have left bed in the last 36 hours or so was to shit blood? (and type this post)

Actually, not true, I slept on the bathroom floor on Wed night, so technically that's not bed.

Zip Goshboots

Goddamm, you shit BLOOD?
I think you may have had a cerebral hemmorhage.

Close, but it sounds more like cancer of the anus.

Glenn

Apologies to Ben Wallace, I ended up in the ER, getting a couple of bags of fluids and an anal probe.

Simultaneous severe cold/food poisoning/hemmorhoid will get you every time.

Never had anal bleeding before, so it was a bit of a shock.

Give me sinusitus any day of the week over this bullshit.

DrRay11
04-06-2007, 03:28 PM
Holy shit, Glenn. I just have a cold.

Oh Glenn, you had me after "anal probe"!

Glenn
04-06-2007, 07:05 PM
Yep, being 35 sucks. Hemmorhoids are something that I thought only senior citizens dealt with.

Although the rancid sausage on that bagel sandwich looked tasty at the time.

. . . giffman furiously compiles list of witty "rancid sausage and anal probe" jokes . . . . .

Glenn
04-09-2007, 09:43 AM
Come to find out, it wasn't a hemmorhoid after all, just salmonella poisoning from the aforementioned bagel sandwich.

So here's a belated "Fuck you" to the Bagel Beanery on the corner of Michigan and Fulton in Grand Rapids. You bastards caused me 5+ days of agony, and it's still not over as I still feel like hell due to these severe abdomnenal cramps.

If you boys never get salmonella poisonong, consider yourselves very lucky. It's kind of ironic, because I'm totally paranoid about raw meat in the kitchen, too, always have been.

Glenn
04-09-2007, 09:47 AM
Those are some nice "anal bleeding" Google ads at the bottom of this page too, lol.

Uncle Mxy
04-09-2007, 10:18 AM
I had a run-in (yes, a double entendre) with salmonella once. It wasn't as bad as mono or being hit by a car, but it took me out for three days straight.

04-09-2007, 04:43 PM
shitting blood, or just blood wipes? funny enough, i had a bloody wipe the other day, myself. i get them a couple times a year. i used to assume they were related to my infrequent bowel movems--i used to go about once a week, until i was informed that was really unhealthy--but now i go everyday, and im not dropping foot longers anymore. i honestly dont know what the cause is anymore. perhaps we (i) need a deucing awareness thread? im pretty sure zip is the man for that job.

Zip Goshboots

I'm told that my singing is an OSHA violation, and either Homeland Security or the Nuclear Regulator Commission is called -- whoever comes first.
People claim it's some kind of treaty violation, but I swear my voice IS zoned for heavy industrial.

I've been out of town for a death in the family. Ugh.
One of my family members had recently been in Cuba and started becoming sick.
I shared a room with then, and now I am just getting over the Cuban Crud Crisis.
Not as historic as the Cuban Missile Crisis, but more memorable.
