I loved watching this jackass in maize and blue last night on ESPN. Was that a pathetic performance or what? The judges walked him into the finals just because everyone knew he was capable of sick stuff and it was in his home state. But he still couldn't pull anything off. How can you jump that high and not do shit in the contest? BTW, I watched JRich do the between the legs off the bounce as a Freshman at State their national Championship year before Vince did it and before Petway blew it last night. What a clown!

...ummm Tre...I will agree that Petway looked like a clown last night...HOWEVER I have seen him hit that dunk numerous times before games. The damn 30 second shot clock in the final round was BS...not to mention the fact that petway was about as focused as a whore in church.

For my money, the entire concept of Dunk Contests, which is nothing more than an Ass Clown Parade, can just go away now, and not fast enough.

I agree with Zip. The dunk contest was sick back in the day and even just a few years ago with guys like J-Rich and Vinsanity, but when people are only showing up to collect $10,000 in their contract or you have some silly white guy then something is wrong. I believe there are over 300 Division 1 college basketball teams and you only have 8 show up for a dunk contest...........why? If you want a contest then make it a true contest. Have a regional qualifier or a best dunker in the "XXXX" conference and each conference sends a rep. I know there are more than 8 good senior dunkers in CBB. And Steve Lavin actually said something intelligent last night (it explains Petway looking like a fool)...............the celebration before or after a dunk is almost as important as the dunk. Unfortunately, that seems to be true. Sunglasses? Cell Phone? Autographs? Dancing?..............Just dunk the ball bitches!!!
