No Mike Hart for spring ball. OOPS! Zip Goshboots 03-14-2007, 06:46 PM Arrington: A ture boner. Alot of talent, but a bit fucked in the head. I may be a little presumptuous here, but I got no sympathy for a guy who trashes his life and talent. Fuck him. Time for Greg Matthews to step in and he's a good one. Arrington will be missed, but UM always has good receivers. At least enough to continue Lloyd's outstanding tradition of three to four loss seasons. theMUHMEshow 03-14-2007, 10:09 PM Adrian got into a shit load of trouble back in High School too... One of the main reasons he went to Michigan was for a "change of scenery" Baker 03-14-2007, 11:52 PM Sweet! :) HipDigIt 03-14-2007, 11:52 PM Arrington: A ture boner. "Bright lights big shitty" ain't doin' him no favors. Right on Zip. Matthews is an Orlando boy and a really good one. MoTown 03-15-2007, 08:55 AM ...you guys are fucking touchy today... I wasn't saying wow about you... I was saying wow about Arrington... and then Butler. I just wanted to see the whole article. Sorry for the confusion, Muhme. theMUHMEshow 03-15-2007, 11:13 AM No problem brotha...did you get the links or see it yet? theMUHMEshow 03-15-2007, 07:16 PM New Info http://www.footballhaven.org/testforum/showthread.php?t=13877 Zip Goshboots 03-15-2007, 09:51 PM Thanks MUHME. Popped with a joint, according to someone on that board. Hmmmm... I say let him back on. I think the cops probably planted it. Most cops are State grads, because it's either that or a lifetime spent as a bathroom attendant at some half swank downtown restaurant. Pizza delivery is out for State grads, so they become cops because of their shitty driving skills. And then they go and plant drugs on Michigan football players. This stuff has been going on for years, all the way back to Ben Needham and BJ Dickey. It reached a boiling point the season before last with Larry Harrisons penis. The Sparties will stop at nothing to soil Michigan's reputation. HipDigIt 03-16-2007, 10:51 AM Thanks MUHME. Popped with a joint, according to someone on that board. Hmmmm... I say let him back on. Moodini31 03-16-2007, 04:34 PM Mathews will be fine. http://vmedia.rivals.com/IMAGES/Camper/PHOTO/GREGMATTHEWSNIKE150.JPG theMUHMEshow 03-17-2007, 10:46 AM You mean Junior? I say that Junior Hemmingway will prove to be as good if not better than Matthews. Zip Goshboots 03-17-2007, 12:11 PM I get it. Either way, I think Arrington can be a major talent, but his loss is not going to be devastating at all. Jethro34 03-17-2007, 04:56 PM Is it official that he's off the team? All I have heard is that the three are being held out of spring practice for disciplinary reasons. Lloyd still left the door open for their return, though it's not probable. If he's gone that hurts. Same for Butler since he was developing nicely as a TE. Germany never really got it going, though it's not like we can afford to lose more D-linemen. The best news in all of this is that it was a great recruiting class from the WR and TE position. Hemingway, Clemons, Babb, Webb and Watson will all get a shot now to step in and fill some pretty big roles. Hopefully they are able to adjust quickly. Matthews was decent at times last year and could be big for us, though I see him as more of a Jason Avant than an Adrian Arrington. What's the lastest on Laterryal Savoy? I heard a lot of good things about him during last year's spring practice and he sounded like the next impact WR. theMUHMEshow 03-17-2007, 05:07 PM Is it official that he's off the team? I heard a lot of good things about him during last year's spring practice and he sounded like the next impact WR. Last I heard he was NOT off the team...there were early talks that he might be kicked off the team...but the latest I have heard is that he just got popped with a J...no charges...but he is sitting out the spring. Zip Goshboots 03-21-2007, 08:48 PM Well, our fearless leader, Lloyd H Carr, is having quite the spring. Two players arrested for assault, Germany released from scholarship because of the ganja, and the Arrington issue still hanging out there. Now, tell me again please, WHY Carr still has a job? And tell me also, please, WHY it seems to be that he may have a hand in picking his successor when he finally goes? I mean, I realize his legacy will stand out agains ANY legend who has ever patrolled the sidelines in college football, but I'm as hopeful as all the guys here were that Amaker would get the axe, that Lloyd will be gone very soon. MoTown 03-22-2007, 08:55 AM I think I'm going to take the opposite approach to you on this one, Zip. Yes Lloyd recruited these players that are causing problems, but at least he's dealing with it. How many times (Tressel) have coaches just covered things up? Arrington caused problems and he's gone. Same with Butler. Those were two very important players for next year. That being said, I think Lloyd is starting to lose control of the team, and it's time to get a fiery young coach in there. English fits the bill so far, but his collapse in the last two games were unacceptable. Give him another year. Zip Goshboots 03-22-2007, 09:15 AM I'm with you on English. He did a good job. It's hard to go from secondary coach to calling all the defensive shots in one season and be judged on that one season. But he was schooled by Tressel and Carroll. I still favor blowing the place up when Llod goes, though. UM football is a PLUM job. When that opens up, there will be all sorts of interest from everywhere, and I don;t think UM should, or can, take a chance on an assistant coach unless he has seriously proven himself. Not with Les Miles sitting there in Baton Rouge, who I believe would take this job in less than a quarter of a heartbeat. Artermis 03-22-2007, 10:27 AM Germany is offically off the team. AA and Bulter not so sure. I do know this was Butlers third strike, so not sure he is coming back. Zip Goshboots 03-22-2007, 10:44 AM MoTown: You are closer to the UM program than I am. Where I live, they usually don't spend the day discussing Wolverine Football. That said, this was Butler's "third strike"; for Arrington, this is at least strike two (and I remember how he handled the last incident, by forcing Arrington to sit out a play or two, and I hope Arrington has recovered emotionally from that). And, how many "Driving while Suspended" did Markus Curry have? I know it's tough managing 100 players, and I'm not playing moralist. I'll give you a second chance every time, but after that, we've got to go our separate ways. Elevate your expectaions, and the youngsters will meet them. theMUHMEshow 03-22-2007, 11:44 AM MoTown: You are closer to the UM program than I am. They both should be gone...It is just about guaranteed Butler is gone. I cannot see Lloyd letting him back. Hopefully he goes and plays at GVSU lol Jethro34 03-24-2007, 12:12 PM Well it's official now that Butler, Germany and Chris Richards are all off the team. No word yet on Arrington. All of this is a pretty big blow to depth. Butler was the starting TE, Richards competing for a starting CB job, and Germany as depth on a D-Line that lost a lot of talent in the off-season. But I'm glad that Lloyd is keeping the program clean unlike some schools where these guys would get 12 chances. theMUHMEshow 03-24-2007, 12:54 PM But I'm glad that Lloyd is keeping the program clean unlike some schools where these guys would get 12 chances. You mean like the 12 that Adrian Arrington has already had? He has been in trouble numerous times and still has a spot on the squad. HipDigIt 03-24-2007, 01:55 PM You mean like the 12 that Adrian Arrington has already had? He has been in trouble numerous times and still has a spot on the squad. Arrington will sit out the 1st 3 plays of the spring walk thru. The 1st 6 if Manningham is healthy. Don't fuck with Lloyd. |
