I knew Carlisle personally. I met him three or four times. He was a bit of a jerk and if you didn't give a good effort, he could be a dick. Otherwise he was ok just not very friendly. His wife is really nice though. Maybe the Pacers should hire her.

I didn't hate on Carlisle. Unlike the Pistons, the Bobcats and Bucks have open coaching jobs, not just some bullshit rumor about Flip leaving the NBA to be a college coach.

Carlisle, Collins, and LB were good coaches that led the Pistons to much success and have "jerk" personalities. We've had non-jerk coaches lead the Pistons to great successl (Chuck Daly), jerks that didn't really help us any (Ron Rothstein), and nice guys that didn't do much (Dick Vitale).

Carlisle has his faults as a coach, and Michael fucking Curry as a starter on a team with Ben Wallace on it is high on my list, but he's not bitchmade. Tou don't think "fuck, they'd win 5-10 more games if not for Stotts", to cite a purely hypothetical example. :)

I don't know about Prick over Flip. His rotations were just as mind boggling, and he refused to play Tay over Curry too. Flips rotations are wierd, but at least he isn't starting Dupree over Tay or DD over C Webb.

Rick was better for the old NBA, not so much now. That and he's evidently good for 2-3 years.

i wouldnt be surprised if he ends up in c-ball. maybe some small school in indiana.
