The Trail Blazers and Raptors have agreed in principle on a trade sending Juan Dixon to Toronto for Fred Jones in a swap of back-up guards, ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher reported.

Dixon, 28, in his fifth NBA season, is averaging 8.9 points per game for the Blazers. Jones, also in his fifth year, is averaging 7.6 PPG.

there goes our only realistic option in my opinion...dang, can't we just sign Tony Delk again? i thought he did a pretty good job, just Flip didnt give him a chance in the playoffs...

I'm more concerned about a backup SF scorer than PG. Hunter is good for 10-15 MPG and Delfino can back that spot up in a pinch. We need a true scoring SF more than a PG IMO.

All Houston wants is a big for insurance and to help rest Deke. Van Gundy really likes DD, this is a no brainer IMO.

Well, they just did get big Jake Tsakalidis for that reason, but DD would be an upgrade for them for sure.
