Tracy Morgan pleads guilty to DWI

NEW YORK - Tracy Morgan pleaded guilty Wednesday to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge.

The 38-year-old comic, who co-stars on the NBC sitcom "30 Rock," submitted the plea in Manhattan Criminal Court in exchange for a conditional discharge, meaning he must meet conditions set by the court and the case against him will be dismissed.

Judge Ellen Coin ordered Morgan to enter a doctor-supervised alcohol program, do community service to be determined later, and avoid being arrested again within the next six months. The judge also fined Morgan $1,000 and suspended his driver's license for six months.

Outside court, Morgan, who came to court in a taxi with wife Sabina, apologized for his behavior. "Drinking and driving is not cool," he said, and he promised he would never be in that situation again.

Morgan, a "Saturday Night Live" cast member from 1996 to 2003, was stopped about 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 28, 2006. Police said he smelled of alcohol and later failed a Breathalyzer test.

On Dec. 2, 2005, Morgan was arrested in Hollywood on impaired driving charges after police stopped him for speeding. Authorities there said his blood-alcohol level was 0.13 percent, over the legal limit of 0.08 percent. He leaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge and was sentenced to 36 months' probation, fined $390 and ordered to attend an alcohol education program.

Ray Liotta arrested, charged with DUI

LOS ANGELES - Actor Ray Liotta was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing his car into two parked vehicles in Pacific Palisades, authorities said.

Liotta, 52, was taken into custody just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday and booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge, said Los Angeles Police spokesman Mike Lopez.

He was released after posting $15,000 bail and ordered to appear in court next month, Lopez said.

No one was injured in the collision. Liotta was alone in his car, Lopez said.

A message left at the office of Liotta's publicist Matt Labov was not immediately returned.

Liotta stars with Tim Allen and John Travolta in the buddy comedy "Wild Hogs," set for release March 2. He is best known for playing gangster Henry Hill in the 1990 movie "Goodfellas."

SANTA MONICA, Calif - Lindsay Lohan, who just finished a second stint in rehab for substance abuse treatment, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving early Tuesday, authorities said.

Lohan, who is already facing a drunken driving charge in Beverly Hills, was pulled over near the Santa Monica Police Department after authorities spotted her car chasing another, said Sgt. Shane Talbot.

Authorities conducted a field sobriety test and then transported her to the police department.

The 21-year-old actress was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended license and possession of cocaine, among other charges, Talbot said.

Police found cocaine in one of her pants pockets during a pre-booking search, Talbot said.

A call to Lohan's publicist was not immediately returned.

TMZ has learned that Britney's self-arranged photo shoot and interview with OK! Magazine was a complete disaster. We're told that the photos are so bad, execs at the magazine are, at this moment, trying to decide whether to report what actually happened -- or sanitize the truth to protect the pop train wreck.

According to multiple sources, Britney's behavior during the interview was "nothing less than a meltdown." She was, according to our sources, "completely out of it" during the shoot. The photos are "so bad" we've learned, that to publish them could "kill her career." Apparently, Brit Brit's eyes rolled back in her head at one point, causing her to look half dead. Her mood, we're told, was extremely erratic. She took frequent bathroom breaks our source says, and each time she returned her mood would change. She was also completely paranoid during the entire interview, fearing at one point the ceiling was about to cave in on her. Out of control y'all!

We've also learned that Brit had some issues with hygiene on the set as well. At one point, Britney ordered up some fried chicken to munch on. WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Mischa Barton was arrested Thursday for investigation of driving under the influence after sheriff's deputies saw her car straddling two lanes of traffic.

The 21-year-old actress, who starred on Fox's teen drama "The O.C.," was driving on La Cienaga Boulevard in West Hollywood when she was stopped at about 2:45 a.m., authorities said.
Deputies saw her vehicle straddling the lanes and failing to signal for a turn, according to a sheriff's press statement.

"During Ms. Barton's detention, it was determined that she was an unlicensed driver and was driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage," the statement said.

The 21-year-old actress was held at a West Hollywood jail on $10,000 bail. She was booked for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence and driving without a license.

Calls to her manager and publicist weren't immediately returned.

Her arrest was first reported by the Hollyscoop.com Web site.

Barton played Marissa Cooper on "The O.C." from 2003 to 2006. Her character died in a car crash.

In May, the actress was hospitalized for two hours after an antibiotic she was taking interacted badly with alcohol.

Heather Locklear Arrested Under Suspicion Of DUI

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Heather Locklear was arrested and held in Santa Barbara County on Saturday, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

A spokesman for the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department told Access that the actress was arrested by the California Highway Patrol and released on Sunday.

According to The Associated Press, the actress was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance in Montecito, a wealthy area of Santa Barbara that's home to celebs including Oprah and Rob Lowe.

The "Melrose Place" star was reportedly pulled over by a CHP officer on Saturday afternoon after she was witnessed "driving erratically" upon leaving a parking lot, a CHP spokesman told the AP.

Heather was taken into custody, where she was reportedly tested for alcohol and drugs. She was reportedly booked at 7 p.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication.

According to People, two months ago, Heather was released from an Arizona facility where she spent four weeks receiving treatment for anxiety and depression.

"Heather's feeling really great," a friend told the mag at the time. "And she looks beautiful, just radiant."

Heather entered the facility in June.

"Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression," a rep for the star told Access upon her entrance. "She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment. This is a confidential medical matter."

Back in March, paramedics responded to a 911 call for a suicidal subject at Heather's home, as a man believed to be Locklear's doctor (although he was never identified by name on the 911 tape) told a dispatcher he was worried about one of his patients.

However, it was discovered the call did not originate from her residence and when authorities arrived, no problem was found.

Charles Barkley arrested on suspicion of DUI

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Charles Barkley was arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving early Wednesday morning.

An officer with a law enforcement task force that targets drunken driving saw the former NBA star run a stop sign around 1:30 a.m., said Gilbert police Lt. Eric Shuhandler.

Barkley declined to submit to a breath test but was given a blood test. The results weren't immediately available.

After Barkley was processed, he was cited and released. He left in a cab, Shuhandler said.

Shuhandler said there was nothing remarkable about Barkley's arrest and that it is customary to release people after they've been arrested on suspicion of DUI.

"There was nothing unusual about how he was taken into custody," Shuhandler said. "He was treated exactly like we treat anybody else."

Barkley was arrested in Scottsdale's Old Town area, one of the trendiest spots in the Phoenix metro area.

Barkley played 16 NBA seasons for the Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets, and played on the USA Olympic "Dream Team" in 1992 and 1996. He was an 11-time NBA All-Star and league MVP in 1993.

Heather Locklear just got her driving under the influence case dismissed, and she's pled to a much lesser offense.

Heather pled no contest to reckless driving, a misdemeanor. She'll be placed on three years informal probation, pay a $700 fine, and she must attend a 12-hour drug education course.

Heather was arrested last September after she was allegedly driving under the influence of prescription meds. The D.A. says Locklear's blood tests showed prescription drugs were indeed in her system. No alcohol was involved.

Score one more for the unbeatable Blair Berk, who seems to work mini-miracles for some of these celebs who cross the legal line. Berk was in Santa Barbara court this AM for the plea. Locklear was not there.

Former NBA player Antoine Walker arrested

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP)—Former NBA player Antoine Walker has been charged with suspicion of drunken driving in Miami Beach.

Police say Walker was driving a black Mercedes without the lights on when he was pulled over early Monday morning. Police say officers smelled alcohol and that Walker looked sleepy.

Police say he refused to take a Breathalyzer test.

Walker was a three-time All-Star forward for the Boston Celtics and helped the Miami Heat win the NBA championship in 2006.

Walker struggled in 46 games with the Minnesota Timberwolves last season. His contract was bought out by the Memphis Grizzlies in December but he hasn’t played this season.

Walker was being held on a $1,000 bond and did not immediately have an attorney.

Apparently, he couldn't even shimmy in a straight line.

Suns' Richardson accused of DUI

Phoenix Suns guard Jason Richardson was accused by police of driving under the influence of alcohol when he was stopped Dec. 21 by a Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community officer.

Richardson was stopped at 2:48 a.m. at the Loop 101 freeway and Thomas Road, according to citation filed at West Mesa Justice Court. He also was accused of failure to drive in one lane and speeding.
The ticket said the officer clocked Richardson traveling 65 mph in a 55 mph zone as he headed south on the freeway in a white 2008 Mercedes Benz.

Richardson, 26, was cited and released pending a preliminary appearance that is yet to be scheduled. Larry Kazan, a defense attorney who specializes in DUI cases, has notified the court that he will represent Richardson.

Actor Rip Torn charged with drunken driving

LITCHFIELD, Conn. - Actor Rip Torn has pleaded not guilty to drunken driving charges in Connecticut, nearly two years after being fined and losing his license for similar charges in New York.

The 77-year-old Salisbury resident appeared in Bantam Superior Court on Monday. He pleaded not guilty to illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane.

State police say Torn was driving his 1994 Subaru with a Christmas tree tied to the top in the breakdown lane of Route 44 on Dec. 14 when he was stopped by a trooper. Police say he failed part of a field sobriety exam and refused to take a Breathalyzer test.

His lawyer, A. Thomas Waterfall, says that he will be meeting with Torn to discuss his defense options. Torn is set to return to court Jan. 28.

This is the mug shot from his 2006 DUI, so I'm anxiously awaiting the new one.

Randolph arrested, released on bail

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Clippers forward Zach Randolph has been arrested for investigation of drunken driving, authorities said Monday.

California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Garrett said two officers saw a white Rolls-Royce weaving on Interstate 405 around 2:25 a.m. Monday.

The officers pulled the car over and identified Randolph as its driver. Garrett said alcohol could be smelled from inside the car and after conducting a field sobriety test, Randolph was arrested and taken to the Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles.

He was later released on $5,000 bail. A message left for a Clippers spokesman was not immediately returned.

Randolph scored 18 points in the Clippers' 88-85 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night.
