Tahoe 02-05-2007, 01:54 PM LOL squared. Great job on the ogt.
I'm thinking the Celt game is gonna be a spankin. The final 5 on the floor might be Abdenour, Blaha, Mason and a couple of fans and we'll still cover.

I added the tags to your videos, hope you don't mind.Do you mean making the Youtubes videos appear here? If so, thank you. I have no idea how to do that.
I cant wait for this game. I havnt been able to sit down, and watch an entire Pistons game in more then a month. It's against the Celt's, but beggers cant be choosers.
Glenn 02-05-2007, 01:56 PM I'd like to see Sheed come down with the stomach flu so Amir can be activated.
Thanks in advance.
Glenn 02-05-2007, 02:17 PM Detroit 118, Boston 66
By HOWARD ULMAN, AP Sports Writer
January 31, 2003
BOSTON (AP) -- Paul Pierce tossed a black shirt on the court in disgust when he was ejected late in the third quarter. It should have been a white flag.
The Boston Celtics absorbed the most lopsided loss in their history while the Detroit Pistons enjoyed their widest margin ever, winning 118-66 Friday night in the second-biggest road victory in NBA history.
``I chose not to be overly disturbed,'' Boston coach Jim O'Brien said calmly. ``I am very unhappy that we did not play good basketball.''
Actually, it was horrible basketball.
The Pistons led by 60 before Boston scored the last eight points. They had 67 points, one more than Boston finished with, less than five minutes into the third quarter. They also had 24 assists compared to 23 Boston baskets.
Detroit scored the last five points of the first quarter, the last 11 of the second and the last 15 of the third before an incredible 47-7 surge gave them their biggest lead, 118-58 with 2:46 remaining.
``Whether you win by 2 or 52 you just love a win,'' Detroit's Ben Wallace said. ``That's not something you expect to do, but it happens. Sometimes you catch a team down and I think we forced them to get down a bit mentally.''
The previous worst loss in Celtics history came in the second game this season, a 45-point margin in a 114-69 loss to Washington. The Pistons' previous biggest win was 119-73 over Indiana on April 2, 1987.
The only bigger road win was Seattle's 136-80 rout of Houston on Dec. 6, 1986.
``I've been on the other side of these things and I know how it feels and it's no fun,'' Detroit coach Rick Carlisle said. ``So we don't revel in it.''
The Celtics made 23 of 79 shots, 29.9 percent, while the Pistons sank 41 of 79 for 51.9 percent. Boston just missed scoring its fewest points since the 24-second clock was adopted. The record is 62 on Feb 27, 1955 against Milwaukee.
The crowd turned on the Celtics and cheered nearly every Pistons basket for most of the final period. Their biggest lead came on a 3-pointer by Tayshaun Prince with 2:44 left.
Detroit was led by Richard Hamilton with 29 points and Chauncey Billups with 24. The Celtics got 23 from Pierce and 10 from J.R. Bremer.
Any chance for a Celtics comeback ended when Pierce was ejected with 1:33 left in the third quarter for picking up two technical fouls for yelling at referee Gary Benson from the bench.
Pierce was not available after the game, but Antoine Walker understood his teammate's frustration.
``It's tough,'' he said. ``If the game had been a little closer, he might have kept quiet.''
The score was 78-51 when Pierce left, and Detroit scored the last eight points of the quarter on two free throws each by Hamilton and Corliss Williamson and a layup by each of them.
Detroit, which has allowed the fewest points in the NBA, gave up only 15 in the fourth quarter.
Walker sat out the entire fourth quarter after scoring six points and missing 14 of 15 shots after missing four games with a sprained right knee. He said that felt OK after the game.
``It's a tough night,'' Walker said. ``We'll deal with Detroit accordingly when we see them again.''
The Celtics didn't complain about the Pistons taking 11 shots from 3-point range after leading 86-51 going into the fourth quarter.
``When the shots are falling for you, you need to enjoy that,'' Billups said. ``I got some good looks and (Hamilton) got some good looks.''
The Pistons led 71-51 with 4:05 left in the third quarter before going on a 35-2 run that gave them twice as many points as Boston -- 106-53 midway through the fourth quarter.
Detroit's first double-figure lead came with just 5:59 gone in the game on a 3-pointer by Billups that made it 17-6. Boston closed to 19-16, but the Pistons led 32-20 after one quarter.
Detroit led by at least 10 points throughout the second quarter and opened a61-34 halftime lead.

You saying he's out of balance?
Black Dynamite 02-05-2007, 04:58 PM You saying he's out of balance?
ummm sure why not? to be balanced is to be boring?
Higherwarrior 02-05-2007, 05:52 PM me thinks the celts are not too eager to get pierce back, despite their troubles.
sure, i know he's been injured and can't rush back. but you don't think the possibility of greg oden isn't enticing to ainge? the celts got burnt back when tim duncan was in the draft so need to make sure they get the #1.
the celts missed out on duncan then and ended up with billups and mercer (#3 & #6) and while they obviously gave up on billups too early, i'm sure they are thinking about oden and/or durrant.
getting the #1 would add that one stud player alongside pierce they so desperately need.
oh well, i guess it is a bit too early to think about 'tanking' games. but at the same time, i'm sure they are going out of their way to be extra 'cautious' about putting their star player back out there, for more reasons than one. this season is a lost cause for them ANYWAY, so.......why not get the grand prize at the end!
man, they would be in great shape if you added someone like oden there. they have some nice young players and some decent trade assets to boot. they could become a REALLY good team fairly quickly.
Zekyl 02-05-2007, 10:06 PM i see tonights OGT got a huge turnout. I was thinking I'd get home to an update on the game.

Your sig is tiled as the background on my laptop because all of my friends are Cavs fans. They get annoyed as soon as they see it.
Glenn 02-06-2007, 07:16 AM Zekyl's having a hard time in this thread.
MikeMyers 02-06-2007, 09:18 AM I can see. Cavs fans=Celtic fans?
Cross 02-06-2007, 09:53 AM I would love to see Amir play and have a little dunk competition with Gerald Green.
Zekyl 02-06-2007, 09:54 AM No, he just mentioned his sig and I thought I'd bring it up. They get mad because they hate the Pistons.
Glenn 02-06-2007, 11:46 AM Anybody want to guess how many rebounds Al Jefferson will get tonight?
Higherwarrior 02-06-2007, 02:08 PM i'm thinking jefferson gets 18 boards. he would get more but we won't miss enough shots. ;)
Zekyl 02-06-2007, 04:41 PM Wow, I suddenly feel like a giant sloppy douche. I thought yesterday was the 6th. That explains a lot.

Tahoe 02-06-2007, 09:33 PM Glad I didn't bet the Celtic under.
RegicideGreg 02-06-2007, 09:48 PM way to screw up the bets haha
micknugget 02-06-2007, 10:01 PM Flip is a moron. We left our starters in too long. They gave up on D and let Boston back into the game. What happened to resting our starters?
Black Dynamite 02-06-2007, 10:21 PM Flip is a moron. We left our starters in too long. They gave up on D and let Boston back into the game. What happened to resting our starters?
You couldn't have saw the game. anyone who has knows that the bench gave up the lead and forced the starters back in. Again i hate Flip myself, but can't blame everything on him. Next thing you know, you'll call Sheed a bum because he didnt score 20. the starters dominated and the bench made mistakes when boston ran their press defense. happens, but overall it was bigger win than the score and we just gotta get ready for the LA Kobies..
Kstat 02-06-2007, 10:25 PM Flip is a moron. We left our starters in too long. They gave up on D and let Boston back into the game. What happened to resting our starters?
Um, because the bench gave up over half of a 24-point 4th quarter lead in under 6 minutes?
Lemme guess if we lost the game because he kept the bench in too long, you'd be blaming him for that too, right?
micknugget 02-06-2007, 10:38 PM I only saw the last 6 minutes of the game. Even if the bench was playing poorly it's not good to play Rip 42 minutes in a game like this.
by the way Kstat....what's with trying to pick fights with everyone?
Black Dynamite 02-06-2007, 10:44 PM by the way Kstat....what's with trying to pick fights with everyone?
you'll have to excuse him. like a retarded cross dressing cousin, we as a family here have come to accept him. But i do think his addiction to personal fight picking and die hard thread hijacking could eventually hurt him.
Kstat 02-06-2007, 10:46 PM because between comparing ben wallace to Steve Nash and calling flip saunders a moron for not wanting to blow a 24-point lead, i'm not sure which is more idiotic.
You want to know why flip plays Rip 42 minutes? because the bench sucks. Flip Murray sucks, will blalock sucks, Ronald dupree sucks, and Carlos Delfino cannot be on the floor without another starter playing with him on the wing.
Max and Dice are the only things keeping the bench from being a complete liability.
So get used to watching rip play 40+ minutes when he isnt in foul trouble. That's the only option saunders has, even with delfino on the floor.
Black Dynamite 02-06-2007, 10:59 PM blah*insert namecalling insult here* blah blah
are you trying to get people to ignore what you say or give a shit with your fresh no so witty shit talking openers? Again its your ice, enjoy skating on it.
Kstat 02-06-2007, 11:02 PM blah blah *get on soapbox to shout about nothing* blah blah
See, I can edit other people's quotes too. I realize you're really proud of that skill, but it's not that impressive.
robcat911 02-07-2007, 12:15 AM This is hilarious....
BubblesTheLion 02-07-2007, 01:36 AM I love you guys.
geerussell 02-07-2007, 02:21 AM yea he feels bloody and wet. you've never felt...hmmmm yea i guess thats a rough analogy.:yingyang:
This really needed a visual. (http://home.twmi.rr.com/grstuff/bloodyvs4.gif)
Uncle Mxy 02-07-2007, 07:45 AM Yeah, parts of the bench tanked in the end (which I didn't watch -- had other shit going on and Amir wasn't gonna come out to play), but I have a hard time with the total shitcanning of our bench with Dice getting 18 points on awesome shooting. Even with our starters in, Boston wasn't doiing bad offensively... only 3 TOs at the half, semi-decent shooting. Honestly, I was surprised we didn't tank in the 3rd. We won a game we should've won, and I'm happy enough.
MikeMyers 02-07-2007, 10:48 AM The bench was a big disappointment last night. If Flip let the bench play the whole 4th quarter, we would have lost by 10 pts.
Vinny 02-07-2007, 12:47 PM Bahh, they all started to try and one up each other with sweet assists and kind of let the game get away from them. No big deal.
