I play an opponent in nba2k7 and I get absolutely destroyed by the end of the 1st quarter. I'm just a casual gamer that plays maybe 20 games of basketball a month. I know when I'm going to get destroyed because the opponent will go into the menu and adjust all the settings in a matter of seconds. So last night I'm the Suns and I'm playing the Lakers. This guy destroyed me in the 1st quarter. I was down by 14 pts. During the 2nd quarter I'm down by 20 pts and this dude isn't even show any mercy. I'm down by 20 pts and he's trying to steal every inbound pass. Give me a break. So I quit. Xbox needs to do something about matching up the skill level with opponents. I've had quite a few games go into OT and down to the last shot. Now that is fun. Playing some video game nerd who plays 8 hours a day is not fun.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of cheese dicks out there that don't have any manners. Personally, I don't play anyone I don't know based on that kind of crap. I don't care if I lose, I just want to play some damn games the way they do it in real life.

That does sound pretty lame. It sounds like the way Blizzard matches up people in WC3 though sometimes. I was level 29 (ranked in the top 600 in random team play), and got matched up with level 1 people sometimes. I'd ask them to make a certain unit and they'd have no clue what I am talking about. i suppose the equivelent would be to have a teammate in bball and they don't even know what the pass button is. sometimes you get teammates that do nothing but attack their own team. It's rediculous. Blizzard claims they match you up based on win%, etc but it's hard to believe sometimes.

Yeah, that does suck dude. But I was pissed when I was beating somebody by only 19 at the end of the third after a run to end the quarter then he quit and gave me a negative, poor sportsmanship rating. That kind of pissed me off. I haven't run into any of the dicks you've talked about, though... I usually find ways to compete with everyone. That was during my 48 hour trial, I'll probably buy the real thing this weekend.

I can usually tell they are going to cheese when they switch the camera view so they can launch full court passes all game long.

When they do that, I just set down the controler and go take a shit. Leave them stuck unless they want to be the one to disconnect.

haha, good idea. i'm sure that's not too fun for them.

I use the 2K camera angle. Is that bad? I don't just launch full-court passes the whole game, and if you're looking for realism, when playing basketball you can normally see more than ten feet down the court. I hate playing from the side.

No, it's not bad at all. I used to use that view a lot, but then I switched to the broadcast cam, which I tend to like for some reason.

Yes, this guy was doing these long passes.

It happened last night again so I did the method of putting the controller down. This guys strategy was putting in 2k camera view and bombing long passes to Ginobili for layups/dunks. Took him 40 mins to finish the game so he can get a win on his record. He was pissed off and sent me an online message. I was laughing away.

Glad I could help. I'd also advise that if you finish your poop off in time, end the game with about :30 left so he gets shit. Then send him a message telling him he licks balls.

It would probably also be annoying to just foul the shit out of him and make him shoot free throws for an hour. BTW, what happens when everyone fouls out?

I don't know Chris. I think it will be more frustrating having to endure 100 5 second violations.

Oh, make no mistake, you can offer both in one game, though that makes it equally boring for you, besides the anticipation of logging off with only seconds left.
