What team made the most impactful trade (transaction) in season to help them in the second half? Well the Nuggets I guess. I'm not sure how AI and Melo have been together recordwise. When Ai came, the nugs werent doing too well. sixers have been 9-12 with andre miller.
What was the least impactful in season move so far? I agree with Gutz. Nets.
What team was the biggest surprise? Raptors or Lakers
What team was the biggest disappointment? Heat
What was the biggest early season steal in the draft so far? None
Which player (who was expected to contribute) has showed least so far despite draft day hype? Aldridge
What the worst offseason transaction so far? The c's trading their lottery pick for telfair. Bonzi going to houston and Peja to hornets is pretty bad as well.
What was the best transaction in the offseason?
Bulls getting thabo and thomas via trades.
Predictions
What team will make the biggest trade (transaction) to help them in a playoff run?
I can see the celtics making a playoff run. I wont count chicago because they are making the playoffs.
Who will be the highest profile player traded?
Gasol.
How much will the standings in both Conf change?
nothing signifcent imo. Borderline teams will shift etc.
Will the Heat make the playoffs? Barely
Will Orlando fall out of the playoffs? fuck no. with their good start, probably borderline
Who will win the MVP? Arenas no matter what kind of shit the Wiz go through.

Your opinion of the first half of the season
What team made the most impactful trade (transaction) in season to help them in the second half?
I think there has only been like 4 trades so far, so I'd have to say Iverson to Denver, easily.
What was the least impactful in season move so far?
The Sonics signing Andreas Glyniadakis
What team was the biggest surprise?
Utah
What team was the biggest disappointment?
Miami
What was the biggest early season steal in the draft so far?
Paul Millsap. It seems like a bit of a down year for impact rookies to me.
Which player (who was expected to contribute) has showed least so far despite draft day hype?
Aldridge has been hurt, so you can't really count him. Sene was a project so he wasn't really counted on to contribute (even if they need him to), so I'll say Morrison. When you get drafted at #3 overall and get the kind of minutes handed to you that he has, you have to better than 37% from the floor and 3 rebounds per game from a front court position. His defense is pathetic (worse than expected) as well. Get a haircut, punk.
What the worst offseason transaction so far?
The Kings firing Adelman is looking pretty bad, as is the hiring of Musselman (DUI and taking the team backwards?). Some here would probably say the Pistons giving Nazr the full MLE and too many years. The Nuggets giving Nene 6yr/$60m would probably be my choice. (Although part of me wants to say giving Lindsey Hunter 2 years and $4.5m)
What was the best transaction in the offseason?
Probably Houston's trade to get Battier.
Predictions
What team will make the biggest trade (transaction) to help them in a playoff run?
Chicago, as mentioned, they have a lot of assets. I think the Pistons do too, but our recent success with most of these players will probably keep Joe from blowing things up too much.
Who will be the highest profile player traded?
Vince Carter
How much will the standings in both Conf change?
Not much at all. Miami will be in and Toronto out in the East. In the West, Clippers in and TWolves out. I think Houston is a TMac back injury from falling out altogether, too.
Will the Heat make the playoffs?
Yep. It's hard not to in the East.
Will Orlando fall out of the playoffs?
No. #7 seed in the East.
Who will win the MVP?
Nashie.
Who will be the 6th man?
I like Barbosa, but it will probably be Gordon.
Which team will have the best second half?
In the East, I'm going to say the Pistons. Not because I'm a homer, but we've played 5 fewer home games than the Bulls (not that we can't be beat at home), but I think that once Joe gets the roster set and they have a few games to play together, we should start mowing down most of these pansy Eastern teams. In the West, I don't see PHX slowing down, barring injury.

Here's another question to ponder.
What was the best offseason move that was not made?
I can't believe that I was disappointed when we didn't sign Joel Przybilla.
