Is it just me or is that an ESPN toolbar on the front page?

i'm playing around with it...........do you like it?

i took it down for a bit, but i just put it back up. it's on the forum page ()www.wtfdetroit.com/forums (http://www.wtfdetroit.com/forums)) right under the navigation bar at the top. i'm not sure where to stick the ticker and if it's cool enough to even keep. LMK what you guys think.

unfortunately not. i'd rather it be on the front page somewhere. it kind of looks like an advertisement, up there. i just wanted to tinker with it to see how it'd look when H1Man spotted it :)

I like it and don't necessarily see any downside to it. You don't have to sit there watching it to see stuff, you can just click on "NBA" and scroll through the NBA scores and news, etc.

i stuck it on the front page (www.wtfdetroit.com (http://www.wtfdetroit.com) ) and i like the way it looks there, better.

The ESPN bar is good, but I'm not excited so far about the rest of the current front page look. Too many really old posts and not as much ease of navigation. Just one opinion.

DOn't like it. We ran it for a while at WRH and it often had 6 months outdated info, like if they ran the NBA draft now.

What I would do is have 2 wtfdetroits open, one for my searching around the forum , posting etc and one thats just open to the front page, alt tabbing between refreshing, loading etc.

That's what im doing right now although you may miss some part of it.

I honestly think its cool

one bad thing would be that the HOME, FORUMS and CHAT are all a bit spread apart? Itd be cool if the quick links, etc were all back on that

My thoughts:

1. I'd like the bottom line if it were, in fact, at the bottom. It seems too prominent now.

2. Definitely need to get the "New Posts" link restored.

Why are the two stories taken down?

I liked the Bottomline, but it does make more sense as a "bottom" line, rather than the focus. I'm not feeling the rest of the front page though. Looks very unorganized. The quotes don't show up right, so it's a bunch of code, and the column on the right is too thin to be of much use.

That's my bitchy two cents.

Looks much better today. My only remaining beef is that the few featured posts on the front show formatting coding and not the finished product. Not sure if there is any way to get around that or not.
