View Full Version : OGT: Bears at Lions Glenn 12-21-2006, 10:44 AM Am I crazy because I think the Lions actually have a shot against the Bears this week? MoTown 12-21-2006, 10:54 AM Yes. Glenn 12-21-2006, 10:59 AM The Bears have nothing to play for, and the Lions do (draft position). As much as everyone wants them to lose, these are the games that they have historically won. Of course, I wouldn't be shocked if they lost 52-3, but this one has a funny feel to it. Maybe it's just gas. Zekyl 12-21-2006, 12:15 PM They say Shaun Rogers' diet pills will do that to you. darkobetterthanmelo 12-21-2006, 01:04 PM I have to agree with Glenn on this one. The Bears have nothing to play for, and every Lions fan is begging for them to lose. Gould kicks a FG to win in OT. Marinelli wins the coin toss but chooses to take the wind in ford field. Hermy 12-21-2006, 01:49 PM My first reg. season trip to FF, I'm going just to Boo. Glenn 12-21-2006, 02:03 PM If the Bears actually needed this game for anything, I bet there would have been 30,000 Bears fans there. It'll probably still be 50/50. If they were playing anybody but the Bears (maybe the Packers) I bet the place would be half empty. b-diddy 12-21-2006, 10:30 PM i was at the bar, so i didnt hear, but around the horn was talking about a fan walk out on sunday. any truth? any point? at this point, im against it. people are already laughing at our franchise, no need to let them laugh at our fans, too. also, we agree on something glenn. this is the typical lion win. nothing could be worse, the other team couldnt care any less, and the final nail in the coffin: our best players are out. its not like i'd put money on the lions, cuz i still think its more likely we'll get blown out, or atleast lose. but i can definitly see a repeat from last year, where our 'christmas gift' (what the media called it) from the lions cost us 8 draft slots, and in hindsight, it really didnt give us that much momentum going into this season. darkobetterthanmelo 12-21-2006, 11:02 PM 8 Min left in the 2nd quarter, walk out. Zekyl 12-24-2006, 02:52 PM It figures. Kevin Jones goes down and suddenly our offensive line is making holes for the running game. b-diddy 12-24-2006, 11:40 PM i was glad we didnt do the walk out. how dumb. who's going to pay 50+, take the time out of their day to go to the game, pay for parking, but then leave after 20 minutes? what a gay idea. Glenn 12-26-2006, 08:23 AM i was glad we didnt do the walk out. how dumb. who's going to pay 50+, take the time out of their day to go to the game, pay for parking, but then leave after 20 minutes? what a gay idea. ESPN reported that "roughly 100 people left" and headed to the atrium for some sort of Fire Millen protest. They also added that the 100 were given "Go Lions!" bumper stickers by Ford Field employees. MoTown 12-26-2006, 09:48 AM i was glad we didnt do the walk out. how dumb. who's going to pay 50+, take the time out of their day to go to the game, pay for parking, but then leave after 20 minutes? what a gay idea. Yes, it's gay - but not walking out shows what a bunch of lemmings Lions fans are. The Lions were in the game at that point so no one walked out. THAT'S GAY. I'll tell you the best way to protest... DON'T BUY A FUCKING TICKET! The day that there are under 1000 people at Ford Field is the day that Ford realizes something's wrong. Glenn 12-26-2006, 11:06 AM This was a classic clash. The game wasn't between the Bears and Lions, it was between the Lions and the Bizarro Lions. You decide which was which. |
