j-max has been a beast and is everywhere tonight. and while blalock wasn't spectacular, he showed he is capable of playing minutes. he forced kidd into 2tough shots that he missed and then he stripped and stole the ball on another post-up kidd was trying.

plus he handled the ball well and ran the offense. in time, he will gain confidence and be able to take advantage of his strong penetrating skills.

he CAN play and SHOULD, in place of hunter or murray at the PG. i hope the coach and everyone in here noticed that while blalock didn't stand out (YET) he did show he can play minutes and it doesn't hurt the team at all.

so there is no excuse for not finding some minutes for him.

dale davis has been great too on the boards and on defense. less nazr and more davis and j-max please...

I agree, unfortunately Flip hasn't shown, in his time in Detroit, that he can make coherent decisions as far as the bench goes.

This was probably my favorite game so far this season. The first quarter looked unpromising, but the young bench guys and Dale helped turn things around. I don't see why Saunders doesn't play Maxiell more often. He's pretty good offensively; I thought that would be enough for the coach. Is his defense too good or something?

So certain bench players played pretty well.

You know what that means.
