The report didn't weigh enough, so they tacked on 10 pages of bios about the study group members. Discussing a vacuous situation, it is sufficiently vacuous for the vacuous-minded. They erred in using words larger than two syllables.

Not sure there is a eureka in any of this, but at least a course of action in Iraq is a discussion now.

What were the prerequisites for being on this panel...you have to be 10 of the oldest peeps on earth?

AFAICT, you had to be a politician first and a middle east expert a distant second (or third, or fourteenth, or whatever). Sandra Day O'Connor went on TV and said she didn't know much about Iraq... swell.

December 18th (when Robert Gates is sworn in) is rumored to be the day that Bush will have a formulated response to the Iraq Study Group. Look for pigs to fly at a combat theater near you...

I think George Bush's response will be something like this:
"Holy Shit! There's a war in Iraq? Who's fighting? Who's winning? I better call their president, Ayatollah Khomeini, and let him know!"

Been reading it over, and the most striking part (at least to the discussion we have here in internet politics land) is the segment stating that the violence, misery, and loss of life has been UNDERreported in the media.

Seems that any trouble the rightwingers have is always swept under the rug with "its the media with their barrage of negative images". Seems like libbies need to start pushing back, because thats not a battle fought with facts, but popular opinions.
