Michigan senior defensive end LaMarr Woodley has another trophy to add to his mantle. On Wednesday night, the 6-2, 268-pound Woodley was awarded the Lombardi Award presented to the nation's top college lineman or linebacker, the first in Michigan history to receive the coveted award.

Now let's see Harris get his due with the Butkus Award. I thought it was a JOKE that the OSU linebacker won the Nagurski award.

I should meet Patrick Willis? Did I miss something?
If he doesn't look like Beyonce, and have the same body parts, I'm not interested.

I remember early in Woodley's career at UM some local guys were complaining that Michigan had ruined his potential. Some thought he belonged at OLB, others at DE, and the argument was that nobody would be able to make up their mind in Ann Arbor and as a result he would be good but never great there - maybe a 2nd day draft choice.
Amazingly none of them are living up to any of that talk anymore.

Well, UM was shut out in the awards tonight. No Butkus, no Biletnikoff, no Lou Groza, no Oscar, NUTTIN!
Oh, they DID manage to squeeze out some ersatz trophy for Brady Quinn. The guy was RAPED in the two biggest games this year, and he still gets some kind of "Most Likely to be the First Openly Gay Quarterback" award or something.
He's a tool. The second coming of Rick Mirer is here.
