Let me know if I forgot anyone and we can get them added.
I was tempted to make Tre an option, but that wouldn't be very nice.

View Full Version : Who do you hate most in all of this? Glenn 12-04-2006, 01:08 PM Let me know if I forgot anyone and we can get them added. I was tempted to make Tre an option, but that wouldn't be very nice. Wizzle 12-04-2006, 02:45 PM thanks for having that last option there.....I could never pick any of those over the rest Tahoe 12-04-2006, 02:51 PM NCAA is basically the BCS organizers, right? I hate the NCAA. Glenn 12-04-2006, 02:51 PM I really wanted to vote for the last one too, but I tried to choose the one that has me the most pissed right now. Not an easy exercise. Vinny 12-04-2006, 03:06 PM I just can't understand how anyone could of watched that Florida game on Sunday and felt that Florida is good enough to be the number 2 team in the country. They looked horrible and sloppy out there and at the least didn't do enough to jump them up to number 2. It's just irresponsible on the voters' part, IMO. They should vote based on who they think's the better team, not based on who they want in the title game. I implore any of them to explain to me how they think Florida is a better football team than Michigan. Not a better fit for the game, not a more fair matchup, but a better football team because that's all they're supposed to decide. I don't care wether or not they think Michigan deserves a second shot or not, I don't care if they think the teams should come from different conferences, I don't care if they think Urban Meyer looks good in a frigging bikini -- that's not their decision to make and the fact that they skewed their votes to try and manipulate the outcome is just plain wrong and a true indictment of the system. Jethro34 12-04-2006, 03:07 PM Way too difficult to choose. The U-M had their shot people had a slight edge over organizers. Great freaking post. If UM and Florida played on a neutral field, I think we all know who would be favored. WTFchris 12-04-2006, 03:18 PM I just don't understand the blatent stupid votes. I can live with people rating Florida #2. Whether its the rematch factor, the winning their conference factor, even the SEC is better argument (which is bogus). If I'm a Florida fan I can live with U of M being #2 based on their "better" loss, and the fact that they were already #2. What I can't figure out is how Florida can be ranked higher than OSU on a ballot, and how people can rate Boise, LSU, USC, Louisville or anyone else above Michigan or Florida. If you think Florida is better, vote them #2. But don't drop michigan another spot or two just to sabatoge them, and don't put Florida above an unbeated team that won agaist TWO #2 teams this year. Anyone that did that should be stripped of their vote. UxKa 12-04-2006, 04:44 PM I voted for the voters. As a UW fan its in my blood... lately UW starts unranked only to be 8-1 or 9-0 heading into the last couple games and lucky to be top 15. As far as relevance to the topic, I could understand Florida jumping UM if they won HUGE like 56-0 but they didnt so they should have stayed below UM. I think this teaches teams that they better schedule some non-conf games late if the dont have a conf championship game so they dont slip just because they arent playing. umichjenks 12-04-2006, 05:42 PM Meyer is about as unclass as Gary Danielson whose horrible chart showing Florida w/ 7 pluses against 3 pluses for Michigan. Somone explain to me how he can say us beating Vandy by 20 and Florida winning by 6 is a push? We beat MSU by 14 and they beat an absolute terrible team in the 4th qtr. by 7 poings a push? Puuhhleeeazzee. SEC and CBS have a contract together and it was ridiculously unprofessional for Danielson to rip on Michigan and preach for Florida. Now on to the biggest baby I've seen since Tom Osborne (aka retiring so Nebraska could get a share of the 97' championship). He cries about "style points" and how they shouldn't matter at all. This same guy that when he was at Utah was saying that these "style points" should be the reason Utah should go to a BCS bowl because the amount of points they put up. This guy is such a joke and I will laugh when OSU kicks Florida's ass by at least 14. Just get a 4 team playoff to play for the top 2 bowls, every other sport has a playoff, why can't we do it for NCAA FB? JickBoy34 12-04-2006, 05:43 PM I voted Meyer because I think he is a whiny bitch who took the game out of the players hands and made it like an election. He is the new George W. Moodini31 12-04-2006, 09:19 PM I really wanted to pick just one, but I looked at each choice and said, OK, I hate them, I hate them too, I hate his whiney bitch ass, I hate him and his lack of cajones, I hate them more.....etc, so I had to go with, I HATE THEM ALL, EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM. It's about time to get in the Moodini smilie of the week------->[smilie=faeuste_bal: Zip Goshboots 12-05-2006, 10:52 AM I KNOW you guys are waiting for my input on this, so here it is: For SIX FUCKING WEEKS everyone in the media seemed to lay out scenarios for a rematch. Even before THEE GAME (two "E"'s intentional), the talking heads were telling us a rematch could happen. The first rpoblem occurred when UM made the OSU game close (they didn't REALLY think that would happen). After that, they changed, and it was "USC is the team, and if they win, they should get in, and if not, THEN Michigan!" Well, USC lost. No sooner had that happened, then these idiots are all talking Florida as if they'd been inside Meyers panties from day one. I don't have a problem with Florida being there. If these idiots would have said BEFORE last weekend that if USC loses and Florida wins, then the Gators get my vote! AND, I'm not gay!" But NOOOOOOooo. They just forgot the BS they'd been feeding us for a month and a half like it never happened and became Florida Cheerleaders. Pathetic. Moodini31 12-05-2006, 09:21 PM Yup, Michigan was ahead of Florida for 7 straight weeks. Even after losing to the Bucks, we were still #2, Florida #4. We don't play again, and now after 7 weeks, Florida is magically better than us. Jethro34 12-06-2006, 06:58 AM Like I said, Florida was given a 13th game to show the media. Here's my deal, if we're going to have a 12 game schedule and no playoff, then have that. If all these coaches want to complain about playing extra games in a playoff then we have to lose conference championship games because otherwsie the whole point of evening the field with 12 games is lost. The 3 main conferences that use the championship game will never drop it, so something else must change. It's not Michigan's fault that they only had 12 games and Florida, while scheduling a 2 win I-AA team joke got a 13th against a team that was #6 at the time. Of course that's going to help their schedule. Give the Big Ten a championship game with a north and south division and Michigan gets the rematch against Ohio State anyhow. WTFchris 12-06-2006, 12:20 PM I was trying to clean up the 3 threads on this and messed up. At any rate, there is now a thread with all the arguments into one thread. unfortunately I jacked up the authors of the posts. I think this argument has just about run it's course anyway. this is the thread in case you want: http://www.wtfdetroit.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7716 Zip Goshboots 12-06-2006, 05:01 PM Can I vote for my neighbor Gern? He borrowed my rake and never returned it. Wizzle 12-14-2006, 04:13 PM From MLive Meyer on BCS: 'I can't stand it' Since Urban Meyer is officially public enemy No. 1 in the state of Michigan these days, I figured I'd post this interview that he did with the Gainesville Sun and is now up on the Detroit Free Press site. Dec. 13, 2006: QUESTION: There has been a lot of criticism by the national media about your alleged campaigning for the spot in the BCS national championship game. Has it bothered you? ANSWER: A little bit. Especially because obviously it's incorrect. It bothers me, and I move on to more important things like our players. It's coming from something I spent a minute and a half on. I probably learned a little from the whole experience. The media's not going to like it, but I'm going to be very direct answering questions from now on. I'm a young coach, and I guess you have to go through something like this to understand it. ... Q: Now that you've been through it and it has worked out in your favor, how do you feel about the BCS? A: I can't stand it. It's a doomed system. At the same time, I have great respect for the people who have to deal with it. It's a tough job. ... Q: What player has shown the most improvement during the season? A: (Safety) Reggie Nelson. He has gone from being a very good player to the best in the country. He didn't win the Thorpe Award, and I don't understand that. When I got here, people talked about northern bias, and watching that awards show I'm starting to understand that. Sigh ... Urban, Urban, Urban. We were so close to getting through that without you complaining about an injustice your team is suffering through. If there was really a northern bias, Michigan-Ohio State would be the matchup. Also, in terms of the Thorpe Award, Aaron Ross of Texas won. So either Meyer's map of the United States is accidentally rotated 90 degrees to the right, or he doesn't know where Florida is. I would like to change my vote http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b183/M33NTS/Urban_Meyer.jpg Jethro34 12-14-2006, 05:44 PM "Into the a championship"? Is that the type of english they teach at Florida? (yes, I understand that was a photoshop effrot, just not sure if it was Wizzle's work or not and if that was intentional or not) I love the "it's obviously incorrect" quote though. Nice claim for someone that has zero to back it up with. Zip Goshboots 12-14-2006, 05:51 PM Anybody still talking about him to replace Lloyd? |
