Now our biggest game of the year is USC vs UCLA. This is our best shot. I'm holding out hope.

Well, UCLA is the greatest in the nation in one area. Unfortunately for Michigan fans, It has nothing to do with football. UCLA has by far the hottest cheerleaders in the country. Maybe the cheerleaders will tantalize the football squad with "rewards" if they beat USC and that will be the extra motivation the Bruins need to pull it out. Let's hope so.

I think I just found my av for the week............http://blog.nbx.com/images/ucla_cheerleader.JPG

That's weak. Seriously. I expect far more from cheerleaders in LA than that crap you put up there Denny.

Anyhow, I don't think UCLA has any shot at winning this game. However, they might not have to. Even if they just "hang in there" and make it close, it might be enough to sway voters to give us an edge in the BCS.

Either way, it's likely wishful thinking.

EDIT: Hey Denny, can you mix in a space bar tap every once in a while? Don't go jacking up the margins.

UCLA... by far.

Better, but seriously. That would be nice if it was Kansas, but it's freaking USC. If that's the best you can drum up, the only logical response is for me to start the "OVER-RATED" chant.

I love how this thread is all about who has the hotter cheerleaders. I guess we all agree that UCLA has no chance in the game....ugh.

If a thread gets off track, this is the way for it to get sidetracked...and I've been hoping that USC feels the same way as I've been reading this thread. Ya never know.

Well its a close game early with the Bruins winning 7-2 with 6 minutes left in the 2nd.

Even though USC has taken the lead, I think it has been much closer than expected.
I really doubt UCLA can actually win the game, but if their defense holds and makes it close, I wonder if that factors in to voters decisions. It all makes for a very interesting 2nd half.

Bruins 13-9 over USC.

FLorida is now winning so even IF UCLA wins it's no lock, but it should be.

When #2 was moving up to blitz, I was yelling no no no. Then he tipped and picked and I was never happier.

Florida has to get some serious pionts to jump UofM. It shouldn't happen.

Go Blue! YES!

I did NOT count the Bruins out of this one coming into the game and I'm not sure why, but the Bruins came through for the big Blue.

31-27 Florida. Can you believe this shit?

The most exciting day in the season and our team is home in their easy chairs.

I just came home to see the score - I'm in shock. Even if it's Florida, it's better than USC. Especially when USC fans were calling Rome's show and talking shit about Michigan.

I LOVE IT!

I'll be ticked if we end up playing USC in the Rose Bowl. It would be classic, but I don't like the matchup. Ohio State is better than USC, but Ohio State is a better match-up for Michigan. USC can take advantage of Michigan weaknesses better than Ohio State can, IMO.

Wow, absolutely unbelievable! I thought UCLA had no shot in this game, but they came out and put on an incredible performance. Their defense was lights out, holding "mighty" USC to under 10 points. Awesome!

I'd like to thank Wizzle for being born on this great day and God for hooking him and the rest of Maize and Blue nation with this amazing gift.

After the game was over, Wizzle, my fiancee and I all ran to Steve and Barry's and bought approximately $30 worth of UCLA gear.

And Jethro, I don't know what you're talking about man. How can you say that we match up better with USC than Ohio State. USC runs a straight ahead, traditional pro-style offense. Did you see how good UCLA's D did against the Trojans? I would say our D has a bit more talent than the Bruins. Ohio State on the other hand, spreads the field, thus negating Michigan's strength of the incredible front 7. We are a little thin and DB and Ohio State has superior depth at WR so that gives them a distinct advantage. With all of that said, I reeeeeeeally hope we get the rematch in Glendale for all the marbles, and let's see what happens.

Jethro34

Here's why we don't match up with USC. They have more big play potential. The big play is what kills us. Jarrett and Smith could hurt us more than Ginn and Gonzo. Their running backs are deep and their defense has more experience. Their TE, Davis, is also a greater threat. Smith is more elusive by far, but he never had to be against us. UCLA's DE's are the only set of DE's in the country better than Michigan, so we can't just assume we would have the same penetration they did.

By the way, Michigan's recruits in town this weekend watched the game while having dinner with Carr and got super-hyped. RoJo was among them.
