I dont get it, the same code works on other sites but when I try to post here I just see the code. I wanted to post this in the Video section but it doesnt work:

we don't allow embedding videos in that manner.

you can either find the direct video link (avi, wmv, mov, etc) and use media tags, find it on youtube, or just post a link to it.

I dont remember any html anymore, how would I write the media tag? I forgot to mention I even viewed the source code on the heavy metal vid thread, copied the section where someone embedded a video, posted it with the link I wanted (YouTube) and it still didnt work. I havent gotten anything to work with YouTube links either.

if you have the direct link to the video (like http://wtfdetroit.com/blahblah/jasonmaxielleatsbabies.avi), then you can do this:

[MEDIA ]http://wtfdetroit.com/blahblah/jasonmaxielleatsbabies.avi[/MEDIA ] (without the spaces)

YouTube tags stopped working?

I can no longer do [ youtube ]{youtube video id}[ /youtube ] by hand (minus the spaces) and have it embed a video.

You don't use the little film icon in the toolbar? I know I always have to take the "s" off "https" to get it to work, but it always works at least.

Yeah, video tags seem to work (except for not parsing SSL) which is what the "film" icon in reply mode lets you do easily.
But, youtube tags stopped working.

I'm not losing tons of sleep over it, but one of these ought to be fixed.
