It premiered last night during the Simpsons episode. I love the Simpsons and will likely see the movie but I can't help but think this is just a 1.5 hour episode.

That was the most over-hyped trailer and really was a let down. Don't get me wrong it will be a good movie but I just expected more from the trailer like the plot or a clip from the movie.

Yeah I wasnt impressed. Heres my two points: A, the trailer did suck, it was basically Homer being slammed around. B, I dont think a movie is the right move for the Simpsons. 18th or so season, Im gonna take a wild guess at about 14 eps per season, 18 x 14 x 22(minutes per ep) = 5544 (give or take, Im sure Im wrong on either 18 or 14). Thats 5,544 minutes of Simpsons, but now 90 minutes is going to be the defining Simpsons. Just for my B reason, I dont think its a good move. I thought theyve been on the decline since Conan left for his own show even though they are still good, but movie is not a good idea.

they played everybody on the trailer hype...lol...i wonder if Fox made them give up a clip and just ran what they could to battle the Spiderman trailer(both are coming out in the summer 2007 right?) being simultaneously broadcast on every viacom network last thursday. now that spiderman trailer was cold.

I'm expecting this to be about as good as the Powerpuff Girls movie.
