With all the upsets that took place yesterday, who now has the inside track versus the winner of Michigan and Ohio State? I think USC has the best chance because they still have a strong schedule left and if they win out it could be them. Also, if everything plays out in the SEC the winner of the Arkansas vs. Florida SEC championship could make a strong case. Finally, we have to give some love to Rutgers. If they remain undefeated where do they stand? They will be undefeated and have a conference championship. Finally, what about the loser of Michigan vs. Ohio State, especially of the game is close. Wow, lots of questions and possibilities.....

If Rutgers plays in the National Championship game, I don't think I'll watch another college football game until their is a playoff.

The one GOOD thing I can say about espn.com is the team pages, where you can look up their schedule and hyertext any of their opponents to check their strength of schedule.
Lessee.. Rutgers beat an untested Louisville, a bad Illinois team, a shitty UConn squad, a decent Pitt team, and an erratic UNC team. Great if we're talking basketball, but we're not. Funny how most of these teams fill much of ESPN's college basketball line-up. No wonder they love Rutgers so much.
Say what you will about USC, but check out their non-conference games this year: Arkansas, Nebraska, and Notre Dame -- all top 25. There is no Ball State, or Western Carolina 11 games into their schedule (Flori-duh).
If SC wins out, they get in -- period!
