Haha. Just got Skype, since it was free and I was bored and it looks fun. What's even funnier is it's fineprint in the terms of agreement:

Article 11 — FORCE MAJEURE
11.1 Force majeure. You acknowledge and understand that the VoIP service does not function and Skype will not be in breach of any of its obligations towards You under these Terms of Service in the event of a force majeure event. A force majeure event means any event beyond the control of Skype including, but not limited to, an act of God, insurrection or civil disorder, war or military operations, national or local emergency, a serious and sustained power outage or severe Internet service disruption, flood, subsidence, or weather conditions of exceptional severity.

11.2 Consequences of force majeure. In the event Skype is affected by a force majeure event, it shall promptly notify You of the estimated extent and duration of its inability to perform or delay in performing its obligations, on a best efforts basis. Skype will not accept any liability for the consequences arising out of a force majeure event.

Guess the Skype users in Sudan are fucked.

It's a typical "force majeure" definition.

It's a typical "force majeure" definition.

Yes, you're right. I believe Starbucks owns the same definition in their force majuere article.
