Per ASB's blog.(http://www.mlive.com/pistons/weblog/index.ssf?/mtlogs/mlive_pistons/archives/2006_11.html#203404). May not play Friday night.

HAMILTON HURT
LOS ANGELES — I just left the Pistons practice a little while ago, and all seemed well until I noticed Richard Hamilton sitting in the bleachers with his right arm heavily taped.

He said he hyperextended his right elbow during practice.

Although team officials said he's day-to-day, Hamilton did not look good and he was definitely not sounding too optimistic about his chances of playing Friday night.

When asked whether he thought he would play, he said, "I don't know. (It) don't feel good right now, I'll tell you that."

I'll have a few more details in the Booth newspapers, as well as mlive, tomorrow.

The only thing saving this team in the past year is the remarkable ability to stay healthy. Let's get these things out of the way now.

I know that Corliss is being a nice guy, but the very first thought when I read this was "of course, the best way to hurt Rip's chances to heal up soon was to rush Arnie Kander to the airport". Anyways, here's more on Rip:

LOS ANGELES -- Though the 2-3 Detroit Pistons have struggled, head coach Flip Saunders has not considered making any changes to the starting lineup.

Until now.

Following Richard Hamilton's hyperextended right elbow injury during Thursday's practice, Saunders might not have a choice.

Detroit's leading scorer grimaced in pain whenever he tried to move his arm on Thursday, making his status for tonight's game against the Los Angeles Lakers uncertain.

When asked whether the injury would keep him out of tonight's game, Hamilton responded, "I don't know. (It) don't feel good now, I'll tell you that."

A decision on Hamilton's availability won't be made until shortly before the game.

The likely replacement for Hamilton would be Carlos Delfino, who is Hamilton's backup.

Saunders might also consider Lindsey Hunter or Ronald "Flip" Murray.
...

Sacramento's Corliss Williamson didn't get many assists when he played for the Pistons, but he certainly provided one on Wednesday night. He gave Arnie Kander, Detroit's strength and conditioning coach, a ride to the airport when, without that ride, Kander would have missed his flight. Kander, who is expected back with the team for tonight's game, had to return home for personal reasons. . . .

Hopefully Arnie will rub some tree roots and alpaca blood on it and call it good.

If not, Delfino will have a huge opportunity: he'll either get the chance to start or he'll get the chance to complain about not starting.

Delfino did not get any opportunity. Flip played most of the minutes (and didn't play all that well either). Any updates on RIP's status?

RIP BACK? Shooting guard Richard Hamilton is likely to play tonight after missing two games with a hyperextended right elbow. He participated in all of practice Monday and Tuesday, although he did feel some soreness Tuesday.

"It's just something I've got to try and get through. The good thing about it is I was able to shoot, dribble and stuff like that."

HUNTER OUT? Veteran backup point guard Lindsey Hunter suffered a sprained ankle in Tuesday's practice and is listed as day-to-day. He might not be available tonight, giving Flip Murray more minutes backing up Chauncey Billups.

I'm begining to think that even if Rasheed got hurt, it would mean more minutes for Flip Murray.
