He's retiring: http://www.wroctv.com/news/story.asp?id=25138&r=l

Early rumored/speculated candidates:
Donny Osmond
Tony Danza
Tiki Barber
Hasslehoff
Richard Karn (Al from Home Improvement)
Mario Lopez

Apparently this guy (CBS weatherman Dave Price) is also a possibility: http://img.viacomlocalnetworks.com/images_sizedimage_201203716/lg

We can do better than that, fire away.

Is Gene Rayburn still alive?

What about CNR?

Bah, I bet they want a younger, "fresh face" for the housewives to get excited about.

Larry King?

They should just shut the show down. Ever seen some of the foreign TPIR clips? Its just not right. Not that I watch it much, but I wouldnt even bother with a diff host.

Bill Murray should do it just for like a month.

1) Because it'd be great

2) Because you can't just throw someone new in there and expect to have him not catch resentment and turn off viewers. Murray would give the public a wonderful transition period.

3) Because it'd be great.

People are pining for good old Chuck Wollery, but he's pretty old already. It better not be Bob Saget, Marc Sommers or any other crappy game show type hosts (I realize bob wasn't a game show host, but AFHV was close).

What about Ozzy?

One of my favorite show hosts is the Mike from dirty jobs. he's got the charisma to draw the ladies, but he seems like the type that would want a manlier job than that.

It will be interesting to see what age person they select and if the audience is only loyal to barker. Barker doesn't really do or say anything special, he likes to yell at people who take too long with their game. I am just so use to the the guy and richard karn has already done the family fued so not sure about him. Give me David Spade
