It's funny how nearly every "expert" on ESPN.com has the Bulls anywhere from 3rd to 5th in the East, because:

a) They have no consistent inside scoring threat.
b) They have no legitimate #1 scoring option.
but
c) Best defense in the East

Are we talking about the Bulls here, or the 2004 World Champions Detroit Pistons?

chicago does not need inside scoring. if you write them off on that, you're kidding yourself. we are in for a serious challenge from miami, cleveland, and chicago. And for the record we didnt look that great against washington last year. this will be the most contested year for us since 2004.

Sam Smith (on WGN Bulls pregame) just blamed Ben for Chicago's poor start. He says they all expect to see Ben running all over the court, getting every rebound, blocking every shot, scaring teams out of the paint (pretty much 04 Ben) and that he's looked like he's lacked energy out of the gate.

BTW, Ben gets introduced third on the Bulls. That's just weird.
