Northwestern, fresh off of having their hearts torn out and stomped upon, gets the priviledge of playing Michigan now.

Michigan has covered the spread in every single game this year.

The spread for this game? 32.5

Yikes.

Needless to say, this shouldn't be a close game.

Still no Manningham, Ecker or Massey. Arrington has been accused of domestic violence but Lloyd says the story doesn't add up. No word on whether AA will face any discipline. A hearing is set for Nov 1, so my guess is innocent until proven guilty, as well it should be. Apparently the only thing he did anyhow was ynak keys out of his chicks hand (she claims he wanted to drive while drunk, and that's where the details start to get inconsistent), and the keys hurt her hand as they were pulled away.

Anyhow, if AA is left out of this game for some reason, it suddenly gets a bit more interesting. We would see a lot more Breaston, with true freshman Greg Matthews as the #2. Perhaps we would see Carl Tabb, Doug Dutch, or Laterryal Savoy as the #3. Or they would use mostly 2 WR sets with Carson Butler at TE. At some point they need to rest guys though. Maybe we would even get to see a guy like Minor or Carlos Brown line up wide. Doubt it, but you never know.

Again, if Arrington plays none of this conversation really matters, but it's interesting to think about.

Either way, the defense is intact so Michigan could possibly win even if they had to win 3-0.

As shocking as it may be to you, I have no interest in accuiring your left nut.

Meeechigan rolls big in this one, but does not cover the spread.......and I don't want Tre's left nut. I hope LC decides to rest some cats and not give Mike Hart 30 carries (he leads the freaking nation!).

Not even close to 32.5.

Awwww man. Now we have to see Tre's left nut. Not cool.

But seriously, regarding this team. On the one hand the "close" games do bother me a bit. I wish the team would be more aggressive and play with a bit more fire offensively, putting teams away and crushing them.

On the other hand, it doesn't bother me. In fact, I'm more than ok with it. Why? Well, first of all, with the exception of winning by 7 AT Penn State (without Manningham) they've won every single game by two TD or more. When you think about it, that's pretty dominant.
Second, they have had a TON of experience in late game situations with the game relatively on the line. That experience could come in handy against Ohio State and/or in a bowl game.
Third, they have stayed relatively healthy. They aren't overdoing it. They are giving other guys some snaps.
Fourth, they've done what they needed to. By not blowing people out they are staying even keel, business-like. Their defense is demoralizing teams but they aren't doing anything that would cause premature celebration.

Having said all that, I kind of hope Indiana scares them a bit (but goes down in the end) to get them sharp for Ohio State.

ANOTHER dominant performance by the D. I just can't say enough about these guys. Say what you want about the offense today, but the weather was TERRIBLE! (believe me, I was there, I'm still wet and shivering), we're a bit banged up, we were resting some cats, and the playcalling is ultra-vanilla. I have no problem about the vanilla play calling because we don't want to show anything to Ohio State. You gotta love how we don't even need to bring out our best gameplan to win games in the Big Ten.

Just wait until Super Mario comes back and wait till you see the gameplan on Nov. 18 vs. the Buckeyes. "Get your popcorn ready. It's gonna be a show".

9 DOWN, 4 TO GO.

GO BLUE!
