Detroit Pistons vs. Washington Wizards (http://www.nba.com/pistons/news/pistons_gameday.html)
Pistons Gameday
TV: FSN Detroit; Radio: WDFN 1130 AM - The Fan
Game Preview:
The skinny: The Wizards have featured the NBA’s top scoring trio the last two years. Last year it was Gilbert Arenas, Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler. All that offensive firepower makes them a dangerous team if they play decent defense, and coach Eddie Jordan has been stressing that end during the preseason with pretty effective results. This is Washington’s last preseason game and Jordan still needs to decide on a starting center between Etan Thomas and Brendan Haywood. DeShawn Stevenson has replaced Jared Jeffries, a free agent who signed with New York, alongside Arenas in the backcourt.
What to watch: If Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton play – doubtful, since Flip Saunders has said he plans to rest three or four starters – then chances are you’ll see more of their arsenal than at any point in the preseason. In trying to get their key newcomers acclimated, they’ve consciously deferred to Nazr Mohammed and Flip Murray. If they don’t go tonight, then monitor Carlos Delfino’s wayward jump shot and the continued progress of Jason Maxiell and Amir Johnson.
