View Full Version : OGT: Pistons v. TWolves, Friday 10/13, 8 pm, TV20, live from Omaha, Nebraska
Glenn 10-12-2006, 02:26 PM Hopefully we'll get to see some Amir.
The Tigers game has been moved to 4:30pm, so now full attention can be paid to both games.
Front end of a back to back, with the second game in Memphis Saturday night.
Glenn 10-13-2006, 09:16 AM Looks like we might see some creative/different starting lineups the next two nights.
NOTES: Dale Davis participated in all of Thursday's practice after missing Tuesday's exhibition opener with a strained left hamstring. Saunders said Davis will likely play only one of the two games on the back-to-back that begins today in Omaha and finishes Saturday in Memphis, Tenn. The starters, too, each might play in only one of the games.
i'm glad the tigers game got pushed up, so i can watch the pistons.
Uncle Mxy 10-13-2006, 08:09 PM Let's see how Nazr does against the Blount instrument...
Higherwarrior 10-14-2006, 01:00 AM well i didn't get to see this game.
but i now expect the starters to mostly sit out the next game. because IMO it's ridiculous to sit amir johnson and will blaylock this game.
this is the perfect time to be giving those kids 20 minutes a night, each time out. what better time to give them some 'big league' playing time than now?
IMO it's a stupid move to give them both a DNPCD.
i know i'm blowing this out of proportion, but i just hope i don't have the same issues with flip's substitution pattern this year like i did last year. last year i HATED his distribution of minutes and i'm hoping this minor case is not a foreshadowing of what is to come.
an untrained chimpanze would have better subsitution patterns than flip.
Uncle Mxy 10-14-2006, 05:57 AM 10 players got ~20 mpg, with FlipM getting the most minutes and Delfino, JMax, and Lindsey getting as many minutes as the "starting six"?
That doesn't sound too awful as distribution goes.
Black Dynamite 10-14-2006, 09:55 AM yea but starters against starters, we didnt look that great IMO. maxiell shined though. like i said before he's got that 10th spot in the rotation on lock with a mad death grip from limbo all up in dem shits.
his post game was pretty solid as was his help out defense. he's also out there fighting for rebounds and loose balls. but rather than dunk everything from a mile away he showed some pretty good post shots. flip murray faced marco jaric on a dunk. but it was marco jaric, so bleh.
Higherwarrior 10-14-2006, 10:40 AM i just think, rather than give murray 30 minutes, why not give him 20 and blaylock 10? or cut a few of hunter's as well and give him more.

that was damn nice. [smilie=smug.gif]

murray is cool but even ben wallace is a better passer. Murray is at the 2 with hunter at the 1 because he can't efficiently run the offense. i like the hunter, delfino, murray combo getting decent time. not 30 minutes for murray though. also blalock is a non factor at this point. he's just not aggressive enough to play point for us yet.
if you're only talking about the preseason, ummm nevermind.

Becasue blaylock isn't going to play baskeball for the Pistons, why waste precious time on someone else's trash? Amir will have plenty of time to play against slouches in the NBDL.
i don't like Lindsey getting so many minutes.....i'm hoping it's just because it's the preseason. despite his decent game last night, Lindsey is still awful at runing the team from the PG spot. i hope Lindsey gets under 10min a game this season. save him for the playoffs in spot defensive situations.
Glenn 10-14-2006, 05:09 PM This game sucked.
Sheed and Dice both in severe foul trouble and still no Amir.
I will say that Maxiell looked as good as he ever has.
Hopefully Flip plays the scrubs tonight.
And I agree with you Matt, Lindsey shouldn't be playing this many minutes in preseason.
I'm really hoping that Joe grabs another vet PG with that last roster spot.
Higherwarrior 10-14-2006, 07:27 PM yeah i just want the kid to get some preseason burn. he's certainly not ready for regular season time, but that's all the MORE reason we should be trying to get him some minutes NOW.
