Bill Laimbeer will not be a part of the broadcast team this season.

After winning the WNBA title with the Shock, Laimbeer decided he needed some time off. Most likely, Greg Kelser will replace him on Channel 20 broadcasts. Kelser and play-by-play man George Blaha will also team on all the Fox Sports Detroit broadcasts this season.

Damn! E was for Excited. Or maybe Emoticons.

I wasn't aware you didn't like Laimbeer broadcasts Glenn.
With McCleod and Laimbeer gone, where will all the excess homerism land?

Blaha/Kelser is going to be a great team.

As long as they don't get all Sparty up in this bitch.

Wonder if hell come back if the shock like get eliminated in the first round next year.

My fav Laimbeer moment actually was from the brief time he was on ESPN. They were having a segment of who they each picked for their midseason award or something like that. And he picked all pistons for each category and pistons to win it all. His homerism was known nationally from that point on.

Also, was it him that called rick brunson "Brick Brunson" durring a telecast...i think it was. I just cant picture anyone else saying something like that. For those of you who dont remember it was something like "Oh come on its "Brick" Brunson. You cant let this guy score on you.

If this was in 2004, he was right, wasn't he?

Laimbeer generally knows what the fuck he's talking about. I think he referred to Big Ben as "Brick Wallace" once while on the FT line. Laimbeer has the best handle on the vibe of the refs I've seen.

I remember Brunson pointing at Mahorn after scoring a basket and Mahorn started laughing about it.

I don't think Lamb has any idea who Rick Brunson is.
