I assume that they are down in Puerto Rico already, wonder what he was doing that made him miss the bus?

probably nursing that ankle injury, think it was dontgivafuckitis, that affected him during the playoffs.

The new, no-nonsense regime has begun.

Flip's mad as hell, and he's not going to take it anymore!!

nevermind, Mr. McCosky is on the ball (http://info.detnews.com/pistonsblog/index.cfm).

Rasheed Wallace missed the bus to practice this morning and had to find his own way to the arena. He showed up about 20 minutes late. It was clear he wasn't feeling great (speculate as you will) and he didn't practice. Joe Dumars wasn't thrilled about it, as you might expect. He said he planned to have a talk with Sheed and certainly there would be a fine to collect. Wallace will play in the game tonight, though probably not for very long.

On the surface, this isn't that big a deal. Last year, Saunders would have waited on Sheed or any other player who was tardy. It was part of the package he inherited and he was willing to play it their way for that first year. But Flip made it clear that those days were over. The bus and the plane are leaving when the schedule says they are leaving -- no exceptions. And Saunders has the complete backing of Dumars. In fact, it was Dumars who gave the final order to leave Wallace behind Monday.

But here's the thing. Wallace has said that he wants to be more of a leader with Ben gone. He even hopes to be named one of the co-captains at the end of training camp. Clearly, his actions Monday contradict that desire. Showing up late and groggy 20 minutes into practice and then just sitting there the rest of the time is hardly the right example to set for the likes of Amir Johnson and Jason Maxiell, who truly look up to Wallace.

But Wallace is a grown man. He will handle this and move forward. I don't think this is the start of a negative trend or anything like that. In fact I am pretty sure Dumars put a check on it Monday afternoon. Watch Sheed come out and hit his first four shots Tuesday night -- that's usually how he apologizes for his indescretions.

Don't look for Dale Davis to play much tonight. Unless Shaq plays 30 minutes (not likely), the Pistons will let Davis sit and rest his strained hammy. Nazr Mohammed tweaked his left ankle Monday, but he says he's fine and will play. Everybody else looks fit and ready. Speaking of fit and ready, if there was ever an all-time all-training camp team -- Ronald Dupree would be first team. I have seen him now in three training camps and he's been a standout in each. He is really battling with Carlos Delfino for the back-up small forward spot. Delfino, obviously, has the inside track, but Dupree is making him earn it. And that, folks, is why Joe brought Dupree back.

Now with 100% more bolding so Fool will read :D

If he shows up with Carlos Arroyo and claims to have been held up by millions of adoring Puerto Ricans will Flip waive the fine?
