Alright here's my question - if the Twins and Tigers finish with the exact same record, do the Tigers get the division because they have a better head to head record? Or do we go to a playoff game?

From what I've read since both teams would be assured of making the playoffs, the division winner would be decided by tie breakers not a playoff. So Tigers would win the division since they have the better head to head record.

So basically that makes the Twins 2.5 games out.

Excellent, Fool. I knew you'd come through for me.

No tie-breaking games are scheduled to determine Division Series matchups or home-field advantage. If teams end the season atop a division with the same record, the tie-breaking system is based first on head-to-head records, second on records within the division and third on records in the second half of intra-league games, plus one additional game (so long as that additional game was not between the tied clubs).

Work's not over yet. We need 4 more wins the way Minnesota's playing.

ive softened up a bit. im not sure its all that much better to play the A's than the yanks. i'd still rather host oak than go to NY, but its not the end of the world either way.

and it soaked in yesterday. the fucking tigers are in the playoffs. yes, getting swept out would really suck, but it'd be ok. but i dont think thats whats going to happen.
