Fall officially has begun. And this is the first fall I can remember where we are talking about the Tigers.

These aren't just important games, these are playoff games. Detroit has 9 games and Minnesota has 10 games left. The team with the most wins gets to play the A's and gets to raise a banner. The loser gets a date with the Yankees.

We get to play KC for 6 of our last nine, which hopefully is a blessing.

They are all must-wins from here on out.

Buddy Bell, the Royals mgr is having surgery today and will be out for the remainder of the season. Docs found a growth on one of his tonsils. I wish him well.

Yes, it would be nice to get on a winning streak. Give the team some confidence and allow JL to set up his rotation for the 1st round.

Turning a bunt into a triple = nice.

Yow, what a way to welcome back Polanco. 10 Spot in the first, 5 more in the 4th, 15-0 Tigers.

The good part: We only needed one home run for all of the runs.
