On PTI last night, Wilbon reported that Millen had been inquiring about Jerry Porter.

Obviously he's a tremendous talent, but let's be honest: do the Lions really need another cancer? Millen says: "Of Course!"

Jerry Porter is a Mike Martz Fanboy and would be a great fit in his offense. You guys dont have the luxury of being choosey as of late. Nor do we. But he'll piss his pants with joy if he can play for martz, thats worth atleast a year and a halfs worth good behavior i think.

No offense, Gutz, but not being "choosey" is what got the Lions in the position that they're in now. If the Lions are honestly trying to revamp the organization (doubtful) and change their image, getting a Jerry Porter is not the way to go.

I like Marinelli. I do. I like the way he coaches. I think he SHOULD be a sucessful coach - just not with the Lions. He instills discipline and is a general football guy. Unfortunately, this team is packed with divas instead of football players, and Jerry Porter would just add to it.

He's a bitch man. He'll conform pretty easy with Martz there. As long as you have martz, he'll be pretty easy to tame. The reason he even grew enough balls to take it this far was because he was mad because we didnt pick up Martz. So its a great situation in his mind and he'd be pretty happy to be a lion to be next to the OC he has groupie man love for. Once again Porter is a bitch-type diva. He'll try to be a diva until he gets bitch slapped, then he is in stfu mode.
