The past two seasons I've been pissing and moaning about MSU's O-line getting no preseason love and next to none individual player recognition once the season is over. Its like they get punished for their D sucking.

The last two years MSU has finished 2nd in the Big Ten in rushing and Top 15 nationally. Not to mention finishing 5th in the nation in total offense. What do they get in return....

Preseason Mags Big Ten Unit Rankings (O-Line)
The Sporting News- MSU 9th best O-line in the Big Ten
Lindys- MSU 9th best O-Line in the Big Ten
Athlon- MSU 10th best O-line in the Big Ten

Are you kidding me!??? WTF

Yesterday, MSU 353 yds rushing on the road against a D that features two All American canidates. Can they get some freaking love?!

You know, those Indiana and Illinois lines are pretty good.

Yeah, they are just stupid. We have skill position talent and lose, so they blame it on the line, not the D.

The thing that's even more convincing about their line is that every player that steps on the field at the rb or qb position has killer success on the ground. I could see if we had Adrian Peterson and they attributed rushing success to the skill position player. But, whether it be DeAndra Cobb, Jason Teague, Javon Ringer, Jehuu Caulcrick, AJ Jimmerson, or Drew Staton...they all move the ball on the ground. The Line needs to receive some props in the media.

To me it seems that they rack up good rushing numbers because it's hard for teams to stack the box with like 17 receivers on the field rather than O-line talent. State just has a good offensive scheme.

At times that's true, at times its not. MSU's line produces huge lanes. Example, on Saturday MSU was pinned on their own 1 yard line against a good D in the fourth quarter. Everyone in the stadium knew MSU was going to run. They went 99 yards on all run plays for a touchdown.

Sometimes it is a great scheme. Sometimes its because their line is really good.
